In-Mould construction implants all the anchor points for the straps into hidden fixings embedded within the EPS core of the helmet for maximum strength and durability. Single Shot construction co-moulds the hardened outer shell and the EPS core in a single process, fusing them together for a seamless, sleek bond. Our low friction, abrasion resistant PET Hardshell outer is designed to slip and slide in the event of a crash; helping to minimize the risk of torsion injuries.

With a 3-way adjustable occipital cradle and easily adjustable internal padding you're sure to find the perfect fit. A new cradle design offers a larger range of adjustability with tilt, height and circumference adjustment. A front facing fly mesh keeps the insects out of your hair while the generous front peak keeps the sun out of your eyes.

Maximum ventilation to keep you cool on even the hottest days is ensured by 18 air vents and a carefully sculpted front visor that directs airflow through the front of the helmet, we won't let you overheat on the uphills!

  • Durable, seamless, single-shot, in-mould construction
  • 3-Way, height, tilt and circumference adjustment
  • Removable, anti-bacterial comfort pads and fly mesh

I have the black and orange one top right! Had it about 3 years and it's brilliant! So comfy! I highly recommend.

Shouldn’t you replace your helmet every few years due to the foam deteriorating and so the protection is reduced ?

It usually says 5 years, at least that's what I do.
Thanks OP, only needed one for the Mrs, but ended up getting one for me and another for my daughter as well!

Planet X retail price is often like RRP at DFS and gives a false impression.

It’s better to look at what they normally sell for which is around £13+postage

if they fit your head then they are great value

Maybe look to replace it soon I've got the same helmets. Think they advise replacing every 3 years
It's 3-5 years depending on how many times you've dropped it I crashed into a tree and put a huge dent in it, so I replaced my helmet. The manufacturer date on the inside said 2007 or something. I tried pulling it apart and it wouldn't, I stomped on it and it cracked slightly.
I have a big purple helmet that's takin' some hammering over the years.

Maybe change your strokes?
Thanks for posting @6moe66 we have added your thread to the Highlights section
Can't fault it for the money TBH. I found the rear adjustment to be a little odd and loose compared to others I have had but it's a great XC/Enduro lid.
Voted HOT for the safety element; so many cyclists in London still not wearing them - this great value deal should be a must-have for any cyclist without a helmet yet x
This looks like a great deal! Definitely a must have
are these bigger or smaller than standard helmets? not sure if MTB helmets will look ok for just commuting to work?
Anyone had theirs yet? What do you think?
I got a couple through, in both sizes. I found they're quite round, meaning the large is a touch wide for me, but seem to be really comfortable to wear. I'm really impressed for the price.

The Mrs said hers (smaller one) fits fine.

It might be to do with me having no hair!

Had the matt black/orange and matt white.
