I've had pairs of both the Thinny and Thicky socks for a month now and can say these are without a doubt the best value socks I've ever bought. You will on a lucky day be able to buy a single pair of merino socks for less than a tenner, if I'm wrong please provide links as I searched long and hard.

The Thinny version is about the thickness of men's dress socks, my feet start to feel the cold when it hits sub 10 degrees, probably more a spring or cool summer day sock, but this price is equal to your generic supermarket socks so I've replaced all my normal socks with merino. The Thicky version is about the thickness of generic sports socks, these have been good enough for sub 5 degrees morning rides when I don't need the waterproof aspect of my Sealskinz or the bulk. The extra cushioning to make them "cycle socks" isn't a hinderance for non cycling purposes, so they've also become my winter work/casual socks too.

I don't cycle but these will be fine in my walking shoes for short (ish) walks. Three pairs of merino wool socks seems a real bargain!

Should be fine for normal walking, I do over 2 hours a week flat/even ground and not noticed any issues, the cushioning is beneath the ball of the foot. The design I've put as an image above is all I've bought and comes to just slightly above boot height, some of the other designs looked like they were more ankle sock height so be aware if you do order.

Excellent shout cheers, thin ones are out if stock for large though

I am assuming it is a six pack, or three pairs!
