I received an email from Topcashback this evening informing me of their new OnCard promotion for in-store cashback. The current offer is for 2% cash back at Argos, you need to register your card on Topcashback and then activate the offer. It only applies to purchases of £50 or over and is valid until December 25th.

Currently you can also get £5 or £10 vouchers from Argos when you spend over £50 or £100 so this is a nice bonus on top.

There are some very hot Argos deals about at the moment and I'm sure there will be plenty more to come in the runup to Christmas so people really need to know about this offer.

You will need to register with Topcashback if you haven't done so already.

- If you're having trouble adding your payment card details on Topcashback try using a PC instead of a mobile device.

- Once you've added your card details remember to activate the offer by clicking where it says activate, you can't miss it. Just click get deal, then in the middle of the page there is an orange bar which says activate. Click it and it will turn to green and tell you that the offer has been activated.

- Possible additional 5% cashback for Natwest current account holders through Natwest Cashback Plus.

- Possible additional cashback for Halifax account holders.

Natwest Cashback Plus offering 5% at Argos too until 5 November.

cheers will do this

That's convenient I just bought a £300 iPhone 5 off Argos last week.

Can't remember when I last spent over £50 in argos but deal is hot

nice

Registered a card but still not sure how it works. How do I activate the offer, and what exactly is the offer anyway?

Wonder if TCB and natwest would pay on a transaction. So 10% cashback and a voucher from argos!

Ta OP.

It says you need to add a debit of credit card as a payment method, I doubt you'd be able to add an Argos store card on Topcashback.

Doesn't show up for me. Maybe its only for the cashback plus credit card?

Just got a email from them cashback tracked at £17.99. I had bought the xbox one deal posted the other day for £359.99

Shows up on my current account, I don't have a credit card.

Used this today against the Beko washing machine posted a few days ago, plus I got the £10 voucher. So a washing machine that should have cost £300 in essence cost me £132.50!! Heat added!!

i presume then it must just be for certain members only

Wonder if Halifax and TCB would register the cashback. Mmmm....

Thanks prendy, just had mine confirmed £17.99 aswell.

Never used cashback before, how long does it usually take to appear? Neither NatWest or TCB have anything "pending" yet which is worrying.

Wish id seen this yesterday. Bought the Xbox One deal yesterday and paid by card. Only saw this thread now as I'm wondering what to spend my £10 voucher on as I can't buy a £10 Microsoft card with it

Awwwr... bad luck Bex, I did comment on the Xbox One deal thread a few days ago telling people about this offer.

I have a Utility Warehouse cashback card (have phone and broadband with them) which gives 5% at Argos. It's actually classed as a Mastercard but is top up only, not a credit card. Would this be useable so I can effectively get 10% cashback?

i have the same offer and have added a credit card an clicked on activate.

but i don't understand how this works, e.g if i go to Agros and purchase and item (over £50 i know) with the registered credit card' how does TCB know i have purchased the item and paid Argos with that card? are the Argos and TCB systems networked up?

i also presume i cant have it delivered or click & collect,as it mentions nothing about this

Seems to now have been reduced to 2%

Cheeky Bait and switch?
I've spent loads instore at Argos after activating the 5%. No sign of any cashback yet but if it tracks at 2% it's all going back.

looks like i got in there just in time, activated the Argos offer when it was 5%, purchased the Eos m camera at £200 on Monday and was showing next day £10 on TCB, not sure how TCB and Argos systems work together but it does work. also got a £10 gift card, sold on eBay for £5 after costs, therefore camera only cost me £185.
