It's awful. You'd have to pay me much more to watch this again. Please people don't waste 2 and a half hours on this!
Great movie that covers the end of Hollywood’s Golden era. DiCaprio’s performance is amazing and Pitt is also on par too. A dialogue heavy slow burner that excels at what it sets out to do. Not one for action lovers though.
Personally im now holding off for mega movie week, but general advice for those buying films in the meantime, make purchases after the 7th Jan to ensure you are inside your 14 day cancellation period when the MMW promotion starts. That way if your purchase is cheaper during mega movie week, you can cancel and purchase again at the reduced price.

However this film would fall outside of this, as it will most likely rise in price at the end of this week, so think before you buy as you wont have cancelation protection.

Whilst on the subject, im wondering if MMW films can be predicted. Ive seen several films actually go up in price to original RRP after being at a lower price for a significant non promotion time. Example, some films have been £13.99 on release, then been £9.99 for weeks/months and have now returned to £13.99. I was wondering if this was being done to make the MMW drop to £2.99 seem better value for money. Just a thought

In a completely unrelated but educated guess, im wondering if IT Chapter 2 will be seeing a significant drop in price. Its not as crazy as it sounds, several new releases were included in last years MMW as seeing as IT2 was considered to be a bit of a flop, it wouldn't be a bad idea to sacrifice it for the promotion as a “loss leader”(for want of a better phrase) if you will.

A reminder of last years big hitters and recent releases discounted during MMW1:

Great price, must have just went live for 2020.
Thinking of getting this but most reviews say only good in the last 20min of the film is this correct?
Spider-man Far From Home is down to £9.99 too

I'm Tarantino fan, but didn't like this one. Don't expect it to be like his other movies or you will be disappointed.

Not event the last 20min were that good.

I would give it 5/10

Pretty much, it meanders for 95% if the movie. Would not be happy paying this much for it. It's feels like it is trying to be an art house movie but doesn't hit the mark .

Negative. Film is great
I enjoy most tarantino films. This I hated, there wasn't anything enjoyable.
Also £1.99 to rent on amazon, and 99p on some Google movies accounts specific.

Yes. As a whole its pretty rubbish and I'm a big fan of the director and cast.
I really enjoyed it! Nice slow paced film, good acting and story...and his usual garb saved till the end.

Great price, must have just went live for 2020.

a great price is the £12.99 i paid for a boxed physical copy with the bluray edition from HMV Christmas week
I like all the previous Tarantino films, but this one really is all about nowt!
Worst film Tarantino has ever done. It's genuinely a bad movie and the only one of his I'd ever dare to call bad. I feel a bit ashamed of myself to say it. So disappointed in this one. Just to add, big fan of Jackie Brown.

You couldn't pay me to watch this film again. I'm a huge Tarantino fan, loved most of his movies but even with quality actors, this one wasn't great.

Save your money, rent it if you must.. you'll be glad that you spent as little as possible viewing it.
Personally I loved it. Yes it was slow but I love the Tarantino dialogue and camera shots...that’s what makes his films great in my opinion

Agreed. I suspect that because it doesn't have Michael Bay style explosions and guns every two seconds, some find it difficult to relate to on an intellectual, or even an aesthetic level.
Perhaps they should stick to Disney.
This film definitely has mixed reviews but if you look at iMDB, RT, Metacritic it's mostly positive
Just dont expect Django or Inglorious, its way better than Hateful Eight imo
Though a lot of people loved that film too so I'm the minority

It's the Death Stranding of 2019 films. If you believe everything HK/QT touches is a masterpiece you'll love it. If you're neutral or able to accept when something is just "meh" or "garbage", it's not for you at this price. I fit into meh, it'd need to be sub £5 even in 4k for me.
I thought it wasn’t too bad...hateful eight I thought was much worse...Jackie brown and his earlier films were a lot better imo

Probably a better movie compared to this trash
Just wondering for the haters what are your favourite movies
You're the loud minority, most reviews are positive
It's not Django Unchained or Inglorious Bastards but it's better than Jackie Brown and Death Proof, and Jackie Brown still was good

So I MUST believe everything Tarantino touches in a masterpiece because I enjoyed the film and feel it isn’t anywhere near as bad as people make out ? Ok then.
Terrible movie had to turn it off,a first for a Tarantino movie for me.

Agreed. The late 60's attention to detail is extraordinary, whilst at the same time has its tongue in it's cheek. I really enjoyed it.

This is assuming that Mega Movie Week is an annual thing. It does make sense to hold off but it may just have been a one off.
