Except that Bruce Lee scene is a shameless lie.

Unlike the rest of the film which is 100% true
I walked out of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Awful film.
I have to agree with many of the IMDB reviews that this film is less exciting than watching paint dry. Absolutely no plot, no ending and even the absolutely gorgeous Margot Robbie is hardly to be seen. The best part of the film is the last 15 minutes, up to then you might as well sleep as that's more entertaining....!! Just my opinion though!

Showing 4.99 for me. Looks like it's prime only for the 1.99.

Soundtrack to once upon a time In hollywood is niiice
Is it still the case with rental streaming that it needs to be watched within 24 hrs once you start playing it?
ive always found that limited as i hardly get a chance to watch something in one go these days. so having a strict time limit always put me off digital rent.

It’s a film.
My takeaway after watching it - “Does Quentin have a thing for feet?”

Quick Google... “Yes he does.”

Save yourself the money and 2hours and 40mins of your life and this pointless, boring and stupid movie.

No surprises there. The film went "straight to DVD"
Don't bother with this film. I wasted my Saturday night watching this. Has some good characters but there's no story. Like someone else said only the last 15 minutes were any good. What was the point in Margot Robbie's character?!? She added nothing to the film. I really regret wasting time on this film. I'll be reluctant to watch future Tarantino films if this is the kind of trash he's gonna keep putting out. Seems like because it's a Tarantino film it just automatically gets rave reviews.

Wrong.
Was in the cinema where I saw it (had a free ticket), never seen so many people walk out early, wish I done the same. No story, characters you don’t care about and other which have significant screen time for no reason. Just self indulgent boring rubbish.
Brilliant movie, if you know what it is about.
I thought it was a story about 2 guys working in Hollywood whilst linking to true events that in this version didn't happen. Nice filming as usual with a smattering of what you would expect from Tarrantino. I enjoyed it and for 1.99 it's a bargain.

I tried to watch this. My resolve got me through about 25 minutes.
The negative comments are a minority held view, that doesn't invalidate them, nevertheless, it's something to keep in mind. "Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave it an average grade of "B" on an A+ to F scale, while those at PostTrak (company that surveys film audiences) gave it an average of 4 out of 5 stars and a 58% 'definite recommend' ". 7.8/10 IMDB.

I lasted an hour believe it or not. Only about 3 people in my screen at the time, including me, so I get my phone out, hid it under my coat and posted on a forum that i was watching it and bored off my arse. Doing that was more entertaining than the film itself ..

It was on my IMDb watchlist but I'm not so sure based on the comments here!

Check the voting distribution on IMDB. 6.4% of people rated it 4 or below i.e terrible, 3.5% voted it 5, and 90% voted it 6 or above. In my opinion a 6/7 indicates a 'good' film and anything above that is exceptional. If you're dissatisfied with something you're more likely to vocalise your opinion, that's why the anecdotal accounts from this thread and a few anomalous comments on IMDB give a distorted perception of the reception of the film.

Er, yes it's a dream sequence had by the Brad Pitt character while he refits the TV aerial. So of course he beats him!

I see you're one of those babies
The movie is basically a parody of Hollywood culture
Great film. Loved Dicaprio's hippy rant and Bruce Lee scene.

You have to know the context of the events it refers to, to really enjoy it.

Namely, Charles Manson cult etc, etc.
