Review (from November though and about the Dual OS version) techtablets.com/201…et/ Interesting comments from Chris at TechTablets about the reason for setting up their site - they were sick of reading fake Chinese reviews everywhere!

There's TechTablets Youtube videos but it's the Dual OS version:
Unboxing (Dual OS): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFCiLV7h__o
Review (Dual OS): youtube.com/wat…gz0 (might be worthwhile reading Massage 1's comment below the video too)

Unboxing and first impressions (Windows only version)..reviewer's comes with a keyboard which this listing doesn't: youtube.com/wat…qlI Comparison with the ipad Pro's dimensions at 5:35. (Someone mentioned using an ipad Pro case with the Onda V919 Air CH). In this video at 1:30, the battery is listed as 8000 mAh (?).

Lol, have an iPad, Android tablet and a Surface 3 running Win 10 in the house. The Surface 3 with Win 10 is my favourite by a long way. The wife uses the iPad but every now and then she asks to use the Surface for something the iPad can't do. This is a great spec tablet for the money

I wouldn't risk that much money on a tablet made by a D list brand and sold by Gearbest.

Is it possible to get dual OS installed onto this? thanks

I can see that in the Q&A for the Dual boot listing:
"Question:
hello, I wanted to know if the Onda v919 CH was dual boot ? ( Windows 10 + Android 5.1 ? )
Reply:
Hello,
It only has Windows 10 system: The latest system with more excellent interface, compatibility and running effect.
Best Regards"

Not sure why, might be worthwhile emailing Gearbest if you want to purchase it.

Is there a 12-13 inch version of this tablet? I was hoping these copy cats would copy the iPad Pro 12.9 inch.

Not impressed with GearBest been waiting for a month for my eCig to turn up and when you mail them they are unhelpful and tell you to wait 40 days. Me personally it will be the last time i buy anything from them, if they cant deliver a £30 item i defiantly wouldn't spend £130 with them. If you buy this and it breaks you will be left with a £130 paper weight as GearBest wont help and if they do it will be a return to China at your own cost. Im sure they were band on here not long back but they now seem to be allowed again.

Heat added, simply for a tablet with 4gb ram at this price!

Can you dual boot Android on this version?
If so are there any guides

eBay item number 252356360849 is £112. Is it the same?

This would've been a good buy (the EU Warehouse option is £61 but out of stock) Teclast X80 Plus Dual Boot - "Intel Atom X5-Z8300 64bit Quad Core 1.44GHz 8 inch WXGA IPS Screen 2GB RAM 32GB ROM Cameras OTG Bluetooth 4.0" http://www.gearbest.com/tablet-pcs/pp_298397.html

Even if you select EU warehouse, the item still ships from Shenzhen China then once it arrives at the EU warehouse you select (Brussels in my case) they put a sticker over the original China Post sticker and re-ship. still takes nearly 3 weeks but can't knock the price of the kit

You use all of them? Just being curious for the use case.

I was never too sure if you could install Windows regular updates on these. Gearbest say on their pages "This Android/Windows device is designed to function specifically with the current Android/Windows OS installed on it. Any alterations such as upgrades, modding with custom ROM, rooting or flashing the Android device with other firmware will automatically cause the device experience matters as well as void the device's warranty. Please think twice before operating all these actions." And when I asked Gearbest if Windows regular updates can be installed all I ever got back is "you should not upgrade" so I've always steered clear of them

Still, Windows 10 on a tablet is a huge step back from Windows 8. Neither desktop or tablet mode really works.

been looking more at the 11.6inch screens myself, one thing puzzles me is according to intel the z8300 only supports 2Gb RAM but most of the z8300 tabs ship with 4Gb.
also not sure i could live with 4:3 screen ratio on windows now, got so use to widescreens.

What limited app store? Thats the exact reason to own a Windows tablet, its a proper operating system with millions of applications not some giant phone with restrictions on what you can install.
Good price, wish I had opted for a bit more RAM on my Surface, 2GB feels a little sluggish at times with a few programs running

They're just covering their backs if you decide to put a Custom ROM on - you can activate and do Windows Updates as normal.

Seems so, but ships from China so a risk of import duty etc.
Anyway you can pay by paypal on gearbest as well if that is the issue.

Crazy specs for the money, ordered and will see how it goes, there is always PayPal for some sort of security.
