low impact the cross training machines

better for the joints

Good Find Cheers

Sounds like you're buying up any of the stock they actually have, at least in your area....no doubt for your own personal gym as opposed to anything sinister like flogging them??
I hope you will be offering reduced gym memberships as a result of these bargains

at least when the novelty wears off £25 isnt to much for a clothes horse

Read the reviews, bad points - broke after 30 minutes. That's a quid a min to cross train

will possibly do more damage to your back than drop weight...

Yeah, it's what Jackie Chan does now as he is getting on a bit.

this might be a new model, although it looks exactly the same, about year back i bought one of these at the same price, yes the same price, when someone who had bought this at original price told me that there was a problem with all these, and on the website they was a product recall for this item, in saying they refunded me £100 instead of £25 for selling it in the first place, worth checking out,

Probably for lighter weight people I can't see this lasting 5 minutes in our house. Still hot if your under 10 stone to begin with and frightened / unable to go outdoors.

It's not just about going outdoors... this offers convenience and has less impact on joints. I gues it's personal preference too!!

+ shin splints
+ being rained on
+ ruining all your joints
+ jogging is not very good for toning, but the cross trainer is.
+ If you suffer heart problems and you need to stop, you might be too far away from home to get back.

+ dog mess

Hot deal.
But the body does require impact training to rid it of toxins which this equipment does not provide. This equipment is not as gentle as one thinks on the joints. As more pressure is needed on the knees to keep it moving thus more strain on the ligments. So jogging is still the best form of excercise and as long as one either invests in good trainers or jogs on soil they will never suffer from joint problems and reap the benefits of toxin removal. So keep on running, stretch or do short form of yoga afterwards.

So jogging is still the best form of excercise

I thought swimming was?

Toxin removal? I think thats what the kidneys and liver are for.

Anyone got a SKU or Item number for this please?

Golf id the best form of exercise. Not the best for you, just the best...

Not if you drown!

ANY form of exercise is good for you!! Personally, I love the X-Trainer, I bought the cheap-as-chips one from Argos in December and up til now, along with cutting out crap & a higher protein, lower carb (no bread/pasta/rice/potatoes) diet, I've so far lost nearly 3st!

This is a phenomenal deal if you can find one in stock, but yes you will need to check specs on this machine to make sure you are within the weight restriction. And, its no biggie if it has a fault as it will be under warranty - you just contact the manufacturer and they will sort it!! At least it was only £25 not £250!!

Keep the fluids up folks!!

LOL, please explain, i dare you to

Well I was refering to using a wider spread of muscles and more important area to tone, jogging does more for the shins and calf muscles, as well as destroying your joints, whereas the cross trainer will give a good workout for the lower leg, but a massive workout for the hips, glutes, thighs, even a little to your arms... with little impact on joints... If you have neck arthritus like me, jogging is torture...

But if you prefer jogging go for it...
Anyway, I didn't want a debate about it, my point was cross trainers are excellent machines.

i think the sarcastic comments are a bit boring. Why put a sarcy comment on a site like this. #getalife

Anyone actually found any Kelly Holmes cross trainers in the north east? I asked at Norham road and they seemed to think it was back to £249 could order it in but would be that price

Tempted to get for my mum, she's getting on a bit but not a heavy person at all, this can suit her just fine, the rest of us got our own gym memberships but its perfect for some exercise few times a week for the elder generation. light work.

What does that leave left to eat???

Got 2 from Tesco Shettleston at 7pm ... had to get a lad to lift them down from the top shelf! Me and pal well chuffed at that price.

Bharak that is pure bs. I don't even know where to start...

best form of exercise is entirely subjective and not worth debating although walking has all the benefits of jogging without the drawbacks.

I realised how much it was going to cost to get a decent cross trainer that didn't feel like I was on the cakewalk at the fair [for those who don't get the reference, it's a crazy pivoted moving machine that you have to try and walk across but usually end up dismembered] so I joined a gym. Don't bother with something like this it won't be a joy to use. I tried out a cheap one as somebody brought it into work and it was absolutely bloody awful. Looks like it could be the same one.

I guess jogging would hurt your joints if your fat or old.

If walking was the same as jogging, then why do people jog. There is huge diffrence between the two. You dont know where to start....because your remarks show you have no knowledge of sports and fitness. The best form of excercise is jogging or swimming followed by a qucik cool down and stretch of Yoga. Even standing still with knees slightly bent and arms at shoulder high gives a better workout then mere walking. So please conduct some research before posting.
