Great timing.. AA renewal docs arrived today. Called them to say I won't be renewing and was able to use this offer to leverage 45% off the AA renewal price. Score.

Valid for vehicles up to 10 years old

You are not covered !

EDIT: you didn't go through Groupon i take it ? , check your policy some have £40 excess to pay for every call out
Edited by: "deanos" 7th Jun
If your car is over 10 years old can you still take advantage of this offer?

Terms and conditions seem to say no, but the last poster managed to get a policy?
there is a nominal charge for call out here i would suggest start rescue using top cash back where there is no charge for call out
Your alternative is the more established autoaidbreakdown.co.uk - £48 for a married couple and any choice of vehicles if they are driving. Been with them for 20 years very fuss free recovery and claiming.
Does anyone know how much it cost for a one off call out, not having a breakdown cover.
My car is 4 years old, just wondering wether to get a breakdown cover or if anything happens just call AA and pay a one off fee.

At a track day we did, someone wasn't with AA and lost a drive Shaft. Called AA, made them join at full price. Then after that 3 hour wait. Overall it was 188 quid for that year.
Id pay the twenty quid or go to autoaid.

No need to pay and claim with Autoaid anymore. They deal with the garage directly. Great service from them in my experience as well.
I brought this, thankfully haven’t used it, but promo codes were excluded
Excellent deal, have some heat
Does the car you are driving have to be serviced annually
It seems it's only valid against you and your car. What would happen if I'm driving another car?

Edit: Am I reading this correctly.. you have to pay £40 for every callout?!

Terrible prejudice by autoaid about long term couples living together. They want lots of evidence of marriage and don't insure unmarried couples. Who owns this backward company? Kellogg's?
is it good company?

Autoaid are w*nk. Took 6 hours for them to arrange pick-up for me, they've been referred to the Ombudsman as a result
Can someone confirm where it says the £40 call-out charge? I don't see it anywhere.... Someone's obviously bs'ing
Just bought £20.70, good price, but you can't expect too much for this money. Phoned the customer services & was told the £40 is for call outs during the first 72hrs just to prevent those who break down then join.

I never pay more than about 35 quid a year for AA /RAC. When my AA runs out and the price shoots up on renewal quote i head over to topcashback usually and get a new RAC customer deal. I then repeat it over and over every year switching back and forth between the two.

Clearly says on groupon claims can't be made in the first 7 days?

I did this once. They charge you around £200 if you need to call them without a cover & they only charged my battery temporary.

Yes noticed that at last recovery I had. Didn’t know it was standard policy now. IIRC long ago I had a home start from Autoaid, paid my usual mechanic and claimed back from Autoaid.

You have a point there. I guess they think it’s the only way to prevent any couple anywhere getting cheap cover as a pair. Don’t some car insurers also need proof of marriage to get their best deal?
What's the difference between 'local' and 'national' - I could probably manage if I break down at the shops but what if I'm in the middle of nowhere? Where are the mileage statements?
What do you do with voucher that you see on Groupon account?
Bought the voucher, put in reg number of my Mercedes Citan van, and it said 'not available to provide breakdown cover for this vehicle' for the life of me i can't see anywhere where it say's no commercial vehicles, and my van is smaller than most cars. I've had to ask for a refund.

You know what they say if it looks too good to be true it certainly is
Save your money and don’t bother with these cowboys
Don’t touch them with a barge pole
There is a vouchercode through the HONEY Chrome extension. chrome.google.com/web…hnj

I got the National recovery instead of the local (local is useless due to the extra money they charge per mile if you break out of town) for £20.40 instead of £24.00.
Reading comments I’ll stick with AA thanks

It is, I bought this last week and it's 40 for every call out, it says this when you put the Groupon code in on the website to claim, no mention of this in Groupon so I feel its slightly shady, although there is an option when confirming it through the link of waiving the excess for 4.50 I think it is

Gleechy said and I quote "Phoned the customer services & was told the £40 is for call outs during the first 72hrs just to prevent those who break down then join." Hopefully this is the case.
I had national cover and thought they would not charge £40 per call out for local.......WRONG, they wanted £40 before they would even speak to me, very arrogant too, it's in very misleading small print, told them to stick it up their A**E hole, lucky I had cover from my insurance Churchill who were brilliant.
And no this is for anytime during cover not just the first 72hrs.

I don't recommend this company full stop!!
Read reviews on trust pilot says it all.

better of going via Quidco because 22% cashback available.
My car is 9 years old. 10 years in February 2019. Will this cover my vehicle?
