Eh?

Android is what Apple people are moving to.
Orux Maps is a mapping app for Android.
Bing OS 1:25k is a map layer you can add to it (free)
Strava shows where people walk/run, i.e. it shows the actual paths people use as opposed to public rights of way.

Here's an example.

The stove looks pretty good. If I didn't have my jetboil I'd pick this deal up.
A stonker of a deal for the stove alone, not to mention access to the OS maps. For the mag, maybe not so much, but hey, I'll take it. Heated.
BSKT10VC for another 10% off too. I used it last week.
Android + Orux Maps + Bing OS 1:25k Layer + Strava walking transparency heatmap layer.

Brilliant for planning walks. Save the .gpx file and preview it in 3D in Google Earth.

How do you add that bing os layer?

You need to add this to the onlinemapsources.xml file

<onlinemapsource uid="958">

http://ak.t3.tiles.virtualearth.net/tiles/r{$q}.png?g=3440&productSet=mmOS&key=put_your_key_here

<minzoom>0</minzoom>

<maxzoom>18</maxzoom>

<projection>MERCATORESFERICA</projection>

<servers></servers>

<httpparam name=""></httpparam>

<xop></xop>

<yop></yop>

<zop></zop>

<qop></qop>
<cacheable>1</cacheable>

<downloadable>1</downloadable>

</onlinemapsource>

Get your API key from Bing maps developers, it's all free. Might need a fake email address e.g. guerillamail.com

Search for WMS layers, there's tons of interesting stuff to add.
Free stove piccy

Thanks, I didnt know this was possible. Its working perfectly for me. I just used my regular daily email address.
Despite the Great Magazines site saying the offer would be around till 18th April when I checked a couple of days ago, it has now gone unfortunately....

Serves me right for dithering!!

(Deal available still includes OS maps and the magazines for £35, but no stove) - please post again if you see the offer appear in the future
