Great deal for annual travelinsurance , ( based on my age 51 ) , £22.18 , £4.18 cashback via TCB , and a £15 Debenhams voucher , equates to 25p a month

This is based on multi trip European Travel , no idea how it compares to other countries because I am travelling to Eurooe a few times in the next year , so this deal ticked all the boxes.
Hope it helps .

Interesting.
Looks quite competitive

Thanks. Just used this as we needed it soon!

Initially looks like an amazing price - I paid near on £60 but that was for worldwide and low excess cover from a top rated company.

Seriously doubt this is going to be worldwide or comprehensive. No details in OP so who knows?

European at best...please elucidate....

£96 for my quote for a couple aged 43 & 41 for a Mexico Holiday for 2 weeks in June. No medical conditions , no extra cover / sports cover or anything.
Same cover for this trip with LOWER excess of just £50 , instead of £175 excess at Debenhams , is £30.
May work for some on European destinations but even if you threw in a £30 voucher this policy would still cost almost double.
I'm out ....

Yes , sorry , was a little vague , and it is for European travel

Not a lot of good for those with pre existing conditions.

Try comparison websites for worldwide. You can get it for under £30.

Standard ANNUAL £87.94 for my quote for a couple aged 56 & 59. not a good deal.

Are you sure? I'm looking for a current account with free travel insurance for DD and it doesn't state this as a benefit for this account that I can see.
Any recommendations for a current account with inc free travel insurance gratefully received.

Cheers OP

Mine comes to £22.18 for a year before any discounts with Asthma as a pre-ex

Pretty happy with that!

I find America Express worldwide the best value for money esp. if visiting family in foreign climes for extended periods with children travelling with you.For an extra 10 quid you can waive the excess so any trips to doctors will be worth claiming for. You can get 20% off and cash back to boot.

You have to pay monthly for the Flex account with this included. (approx £10) can't remember though

I know its a bit late now , but you should have done your insurance seperately to receive 2 x £15 vouchers .

all I can say is don't get ill

Just got our annual (europe) travel insurance with Debenhams for £34.99 for a family of 3 for their top (gold) policy, but went through a comparison site. Also qualified for the £15 Debenhams voucher (yet to arrive).

Quote direct from Debenhams was almost double for the same policy/level of cover.

It was Moneysupermarket.

Compare the meerkat was also a decent price, but the Debenhams voucher wasn't available through them, only Moneysupermarket.

I already have that account thanks. DD is going away on holiday soon without Mum and Dad so she isn't covered. I was looking for an account with this free for her if it exists.

Are you sure it's the same policy? There's still an excess on the Gold policy through MoneySupermarket whereas if you go direct with Debenhams they have a Luxury policy with £0 excess. I'd imagine some of the cover would be different also.

Thanks

Thanks very much for this. We needed travel insurance and got a quote for the luxury level (no excess to pay) and great cover levels for £48 for 2 of us. Went through Quidco and got 18% casback and the £15 voucher-assuming it comes. So am well pleased.

how and when to receive the £15 voucher?

Good for an impending European cycle tour, could be months? It be great to get equipment covered for a couple of quid. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Just checked again direct with Debenhams, and its only show Gold, Silver or Bronze policies for me - I went with the gold as it had the lowest excess, but its still £150, compared with £180 and £190 respectively with the other 2.

It also had the highest cancellation cover (£3000), incase anything happens with our August holiday.

Quote still coming out at £52.52 compared to the £34.99 i paid.

I think I figured it out. They have different policies depending on who you bought the insurance through. All the policies are listed here: debenhams-travelinsurance.com/pol…ing

I was very disappointed with the insurance I got from them last year. I'd booked accommodation with low-cost holidays before they went bang (didn't realise they were no longer abta/atol as they had been). they agreed they would pay out the £900 or so less the excess which I thought was £150 - it was... per person. and as it was a family holiday with 4 of us travelling, the excess was £600. fortunately my debit card issuer refunded the full amount and I didn't lose out.

It's with the flex plus account. It's £10 a month. I currently hold a flex plus account and have for the past many years. The services are good, my car needed to go to a garage, got a replacement car for 2 days whilst mines went for repair

ive noticed the price can change drastically depending where you put you are travelling, if i put greece it it around £170 if i put the area im going to in greece it drops to £60
big big difference

Dreadful insurance policy. Broke my arm on holiday with family and they were not bothered at all. Left us to sort ourselves out. Pity because l went with the Debenhams name but l believe it is actually with another organisation. I would avoid.

It's nothing to with Debenhams, but Rock insurance group.
I tried to claim on my Debenhams Gold, and they weaseled their pay out of paying.
Actually read the policy document and really well too. An annual travel policy for anywhere in the world including the UK; except every section has the exclusion that you can't claim for anything that occurs within the UK - hence how exactly does that cover UK holidays?!?
Currently pursuing a mis-selling claim against them, as I specified cover in UK and was advised to take a Gold policy over the phone.
