Update 1
Now comes with free Oneplus buds pro, thanks @BabaORiley
You can currently get an instant discount on a phone that you trade in up to the value of £250, plus get an extra £100 bonus paid once your trade in has been assessed, for example below, I selected an Samsung galaxy note 20, the instant discount and student beans along with code GHUMXW300, took total cost to £274.65, so final price would be £174.65 after they have assessed and paid out, obviously the above is just an example, however with the oneplus 8t it's still a final price of £324.65, bargain for the phone imho

    Heat but....

Regarding this model, they removed the alert slider, one of the best features of OnePlus phones.
Haha really? The only feature that would keep me from switching for my next phone.. Oh well, luckily 8T should last me for a while anyway.

OnePlus actually invited me to the Launch Event for this phone in NYC, and I helped them out a bit with product demos.

I'll try to be unbiased as possible, but I did get some hands on time with the phone / the cameras on it, so if anyone has any questions feel free to ask.
I am on Iphone 12 at this moment from last 2yrs, will camera justify the upgrade?
I need big screen, good camera and good battery

    Cheers, will do

Good deal if OnePlus Honor the trade in bonus

It was £150 2 weeks ago and I've seen many horror stories online about them baiting the trade in prices . If they do it to my dad they'll be getting a nice credit card chargeback
That’s exactly what I will be doing. You’ve got to have the diligence to pursue a chargeback and 9/10 it will go through.

Barring the alert slider, I would go for this deal. I just use the alert slider too much for it now to be omitted. Silly move.
Agreed tbh, it's quintessentially OnePlus. When I talked to some of the people there at OnePlus, they basically said they couldn't make space for it with the battery and the charging tech but apparently they've figured it out so it should be there in the next generation.

That said, they have been known for emitting features to bring them back later, I guess it helps with news cycles etc so it could be that, but the alert slider was a deal breaker for many.

    Heat added, great deal Switchy!

Personally I can't stand these ultrawide phones, they fall out of my pockets!

just to say that for the trade-in process they take 30 days from the day you purchase the device to pay you as that is the return period for the device...annoyingly still got 2 weeks to wait to get my bonus

Good price! Annoyingly the Nord 2T isn't on the trade in list :/

They give me £30 instead of £50 as agreed for oneplus 6t?
why? was it in crap condition?

This was my other option but I went for the Motorola fusion 30 at 399,it doesn't have as fast a charging and slightly less processor but the battery supposedly lasts longer despite less specified capacity and still looks great,I didn't like the awkwardness of getting the 100 instant credited which would take over a month to complete and they could knock down the quote after sending it in,if I didn't I would have gone for this one as it's great too.

Does anyone have one? can you confirm if VoLTE / VoWiFi work as these two are basically essential features for me. I've had poor experience with Chinese phones and these features in the UK before. Thanks.
Works fine for me I am on Smarty.

Better to get the 9 pro at this point
    I did . 350 bargain

Decent deal -- but there's no way I would ever trust OnePlus' web store not to bait and switch on the trade in, so it completely negates this deal. Between their website breach, vastly negative reviews and continuously buggy website, I'd rather take my chances with another retailer.

Also this phone will continue to tank in price due to the omission of the alert slider -- so I would hold off to be honest.

Nearly bit on this but only offering 100 plus 100 trade in bonus for OnePlus 8T.

Still no wireless charge also (edited)

What a crazy bummer folks I just got this yesterday 😥 Not cool.

A more than generous px on the 8T, I suppose that's one way making sure you comeback.

As someone who has been looking for a new phone for months and also happens to need new wireless buds anyway this seems like a great deal that I might have to bite on. I can't find any other phone that is this good for this price. Although I am getting the 16GB RAM version and so mostly comparing this to the ASUS zenfone 9, which is a lot more expensive with less years of support.

Also you can get £30 off for signing up to the newsletter. (edited)

If you're buying for the OnePlus experience it's worth noting OnePlus is essentially merging with Oppos colorOS.

Recent reviews of OxygenOS 12 have been dismal.

OnePlus seems to prioritise the Indian market for rollouts when they do get around to updating phones.

Don't get me wrong I love OxygenOS 11, it's been a fantastic OS but I feel all is not well in OnePlus land.
I feel the negativity is over done unless your a user who must have Google's own icon's etc on their phone, the software has the occasional bug but Google had one with the f/p reader on the 6a they've taken months to fix. OS roll outs only lag by a couple of weeks in the UK/EU so it's hardly a deal killer.

I can't ship the trade-in back to Oneplus, as all the DHL drop off point said the label is invalid.

Looks like the free buds offer has finished, but I'm now being offered £200 trade in bonus (plus the value of the trade-in) - my OnePlus 5 is coming in at £240 - 50% of what I paid 5 years ago.

Aside from the possible revaluation issue (only £40 for the OP5), are there any issues with OnePlus not honouring the bonus?

I note the terms at oneplus.com/uk/…ule say the offer expired 17th (and only £100 bonus) so concerned they might try to not honour the £200 bonus!?
