Great deal. Basically a premium handset at a very sensible price.

I think marshmallow update is available for it now.

Marshmallow is in BETA

Does this phone have quick charge now? How's the battrey life like

yes type C, fingerprint scanner as well. Seems well equipped in all departments.

My daughter has a OnePlus 1 and the whole operation, packaging delivery & support is very slick.

Deciding between this and a Nexus 5x.
and the oneplus 3 is just around the corner. The oneplus x comes with a free silicon cover and screen protector as standard-dont know if the 1 & 2 is the same?
Marshmallow is not available for on air update, you unless you prepared to download beta version of the software through 'dirty' update. This phone does have snapdragon 810 and 4gb ram but otherwise I found it very slow due to software issues /snapdragon 810 throttling due to overheating issue. Also does not have sd card slot or water proofing or nfc/touch payment option so makes a poor choice considered the options for new phone available now.

Will never have quick charge. In terms of battery it is the only phone I own that will get me from 6:30am to 11:30pm...and I own about 10 different android and iOS devices.

I own both. NFC not on the OP2 (is on OP1) and on Nexus 5X and camera is better. I've just gone back to my OnePlus 2 due to battery life, the camera is still good and it has 64GB onboard. I can't get through a full day with my Nexus. Shame as I love the device but dying at 5-6pm from 6:30am is such a pain as it is just when I need it the most. I can charge it about 4pm but then having to charge a phone twice a day is a pain! Plus you need to factor in the 32GB for the 5X to make the most of the camera.

Not had these issues and I think there aren't many established phones around that cost this price for these features. There are a lot of good £100-200 phones around but 90% of them run an awful skinned version of android and have crap cameras. As a Nexus man also, the Oxygen OS is one of the few that actually improves on lots of stock android features.
Its been this price for ages, expect another price drop soon when the Oneplus 3 is released in the coming months.
I'm thinking of getting an upgrade from an s4 and was wondering if I should get this or a Nexus 6p. Any thoughts anyone?

Having had both I would say 6P by a long shot (but the Mate 8 **** over all other phones out there, even the wifes S7 edge!)

If you're deciding between OnePlus Two and Nexus 6P then the 6P wins hands down.

Nexus 6P has a fantastic camera, distinctive design, beautiful Quad HD AMOLED screen and is the first to receive Android updates.

read a review that 6p is the best overall smartphone to date. But OP3 coming out soon, so is Xiaomi Mi6 & the Nexus for this year, so wait maybe?
got a 1+1 and a 1+2 both brilliant phones, no issues.
1+2 i would say equal 3:p
camera any good?
I have the One Plus X. A very smooth phone, a fantastic phone for the price.

Not lazy at all, I viewed it on my phone and will swear the retailer wasn't there but it appears it was.

Are both the same price ? 499 against 249? I had the samsung note 2 and changed to the oneplus have niggles now and again, which phone dont? guess I could change it every year at this price difference

camera any good?

not as good as the latest flagships but very good. I would say even better then my iPhone 6.
I got this phone. The marshmallow beta makes the phone almost perfect. Even though it's beta solved many of the software issues existing in OOS 2.2.x.

By picking up this phone, take into account that technical support from OnePlus isn't that famous. Before you send the phone back, you need to do some techy/geeky stuff on the phone (flash stuff, recoveries, fastboot modes, etc) to allow them to remotely make a diagnostic and make a decision on what to do.

Does not have quick charge, but has usb type-c (it's just a gimmick for them to say that its high tech, lol....)

To the guy thinking between OP2 and 6P... If you can afford the 6P, take the 6P, by far the best android phone out there at the moment. If you want to take a good phone and also take the missus to a week off in Crete (check hukd earlier this week), take the OP2, spend the remaining 250£ on the trip. :P

However, as someone already said back there.... OnePlus3 is coming out soon...

Cheers
This device has a hardware flaw with the FIngerprint scanner, there are new reports daily on the forum. With the FP scanner going from being non responsive to total faiiure
There is also a problem with the laser focus whilst taking video's, this will effect every device as it can not be disabled. Video shots are constantly refocusing.
I would advise anyone to search under these 2 points on YouTube before buying.
Oxygen OS is buggy bit a new update has been released with reports being 50/50.
I would advised anyone interested to search YouTube under the 2 points I made.
Could anyone offer some advice? My contract runs out in a few weeks... it just so happens my sister is returning from China about the same time.
Would there be any merit in her buying a phone in Beijing or Hong Kong and bringing back? I have no knowledge on phones... she says that the local brands are cheaper but have no Google stuff installed.
So I'm not sure whether to grab a bargain for an unusable phone, or play it safe and stick to some standard CPW deal.
Thanks

The One Plus 2 is a regression from the OnePlus One; to quote Anandtech:

At $389, you can find much better smartphones, such as the Nexus 5X, or … At $389, you can find much better smartphones, such as the Nexus 5X, or you can search for sales on phones like the Galaxy S6 or LG G4 if you're in a region where the Nexus phones end up being much more expensive than Google's price in North America. Even the OnePlus One would offer a better overall experience. Regardless of what your needs are when buying a smartphone, I think there will be better options available to you than the OnePlus 2.

Why? The screen is significantly worse, there are Snapdragon 810 performance issues (throttling/not utilising all cores), no NFC, no quick charge support, fingerprint scanner problems and terrible technical/customer support etc. Perfect example of being great on paper, but providing a lacklustre experience.

The Lte or 4g technology in China and UK are totally different. UK, /Europe has FDD Lte while China and India have TD Lte. Also the frequency bands are different as well. But almost all phones including the iPhone are made in China, if you can get the UK model without paying the 20% VAT and delivery cost, you can get a bargain.

Type C connector is electrically not Type C (not USB 3.1)on the One plus 2 just only USB 2.0. Also no qualcomm quick charge even through phone has SD 810 inside.
I have the one plus 1 and 2. The 1 was transformed by the Lollipop update and the 2 running the Marshmallow beta is like different phone than before. Ultra quick, very stable and a bargain at £250.

Would have to agree, basically what the phone should have been for the last six months I have owned my plus2. Up until last week the phone was massively frustrating with constant lag appearing every 24 hours after a full reboot. I was going to just get rid and get something else but the marshmallow beta has saved it from being put on eBay...

think it because you also get a free case now
It's a great phone and it's definitely worth a buy
Imo the nexus 6p is the worst nexus device I've owned. Having said that I wouldn't go for this either (I own a oneplus one). check out the meizu pro 5 at this price range it beats both of them. Firstly because of the exynos and not hot sd810, plus it has microsd, and 4gb ram.
Brilliant Phone, looking forwards to the 3rd generation.
