Haven't we had this once today?
Do people still refer to big phones as phablets? It's just become the norm now so seems strange...(not a dig just a question!)
that's not a phablet
Gotta be 6" to be a Phablet surely.

Gotta be 6" to be a Phablet surely.

That's what I thought.
Is there a big difference over the oneplus 5? Would I be OK with this?
Did they ever sort out the wobbly display syndrome on this phone?
Id never drop that kind of money with Gearbest

The OP5 as the latest 835 SoC plus guaranteed software updates for a year plus.
Word of warning : I've been using OP 3 for 11 months and although the specs look great on the paper but has issues such as over heating, battery drain. My phone is currently away for repair at the moment for another hardware issue and I've spent a lot of time factory resetting and fixing the phone in past few months. Oneplus tech support aren't that great. I've just switched to samsung instead of buying oneplus 5 as again I'm seeing poor feedback and very high prices.

Do your own research before buying.

Times have changed. A few years ago anything above 5.3" was considered a phablet.

I would probably still argue the case that 5.5" and above are borderline phablets.

Times change and definitions are blurry.

I remember a review of the Samsung Omnia i8910 I had that said it was a huge beast with a massive screen. 3.7 inches.

That was only 8 years ago. 5.5 inches is pretty much standard flagship model size for android phones today. Phablet hardly seems used since sizes that large appear normal

The 3T was released 8 months ago, how have you been using it for the past 11 months? Also i have been using The OP3 since release and it has been perfect so far

Yeah how have you been using a phone that came out 2 weeks ago for 11 months?
I've got a 3 that came out then using it now no problems with it.
Likewise I've had my 3 for a year without any problems, it seems from OnePlus' excellent forum that the only users having problems with overheating etc are those who can't clear the cache etc after software updates. On the beta OS software it's still receiving bi-monthly updates.

Have to agree. I've been all for Gearbest deals, however my Xiaomi stopped charging after 9 months so now to move onto another phone.

In my opinion the appeal of the Chinese phones is that they're cheap and that balances out the risk with no real warranty. No way I'd be spending this kind of money.

maybe you where just unlucky? I have a pixel XL and the 3T and by far i prefer the 3T, Dual sim and a much better battery life, they only thing i prefer on the pixel is the camera. mine never gets hot even when gaming for over an hour at a time great phone for the price paid very happy with mine. never had to use oneplus support so cannot comment.

You are correct, 3t has no such 'issue' (Which is likely over egged anyway)

Fantastic Phone, although the word 'phablet' does make me cringe a bit just use the word phone!
Those ugly bezels!

I'm a phone nerd, I've used most phones you can name as daily drivers.

And as many people like me will agree, the OnePlus 3T is easily the best phone on the market.

It surpasses all limitations you might find on a iPhone Sony Motorola LG and Samsung.

If you're able to try before you buy then I insist that you do.

Any "phone nerd" worth their salt knows how to get past any limitations there is on a Smasung / LG and turn them into even bigger powerhouses with root, custom roms, Xposed on MM, custom patched apps etc.

While the 3T is a nice phone and good for the price, bit of a hyperbole calling it the best phone on the market
is a Nougat update available for this?

also is this one of those global rom ones ?

looks almost perfect tbh

My bad thought this deal was for the 5, the newest phone. Sometimes I don't half put the ass in assumptions

EDIT: don't know what happened with this post but it seems I can't double quote correctly in the new app

Rooting specifically Samsung's sometimes cause more problems than it resolves. I can only view Samsung as the iPhone of the android community.

..they look great and have decent specs though Samsung's ROM makes it difficult to exploit half of the loopholes you will discover with different branded phones.

No they dont. It causes no problems at all, ive rooted and xposed countless Samsung devices with no issues if you know what your doing. Please give me some proof of these problems.

Samsung devices have top of the range parts and specs also.
googling away but cannot find if there is a Nougat update for this

do any of the experts know please?

That's unfortunate, I have my op3 since launch and couldn't be happier, playing high demanding games like a breeze, it never overheats, battery last over a day and 15 min dash charge and back on track for half a day more. Can't find any other phone with better price/specs /reliability in the market.

6.2in S8+ feels great in my hands
But I've had many people say it's massive, I'd say 5.5-5.7 is still phablet entry size

I've read the forums and even raised a ticket with onpelus, cleared cache, various tweaks and even done multiple factory resets. Factory reset has made slight improvement however its no where near satisfactory. If I use google maps on 2G/3G connection with no other apps running(background sync turned off), you can almost fry an egg on screen after about 10 minutes of use. The battery will drain significantly as well.

Sorry I meant OP 3 not OP 3T, however the same battery drain issue exists in 3T as well if you do some research.
