how do i get a code if im not student?:)

Education is a start.

Thanks for posting I think it's time to upgrade from my Oneplus 1 - and £400 is around the right price point, a tad higher than hoped but at least it's at the moderately priced end of the flagships. Hopefully will last me as many years as OPO!

Education is a start.

I would wait for egobal deal then as it's cheaper to study in Chinese now's days

is it possible to get a code without being a student registered to student beans? (like i know unidays codes can be shared)
would bite at this price point

Gutted that I used mine when the OP5 launched, wanting a 5T now.

Pop me a PM if you're planning on purchasing edit: the get deal link is the student discount link just without the StudentBeans affiliate code in the URL. Has anyon tested to see if the link supplied by OP applies the 10% off?

The link required you to log in with your student beans details. Does the link you have not require this?

There is no work around, contrary to the person who offered to post a link above.

Each individual Student Beans Account can only purchase using Student Discount once per year. This reaffirms that you need a personal Student Beans account/link to confirm it has not been used in the last year for a discount.... Therefore a generic link (Or even using somebody elses username/password - if they have ordered in the last year) will not work.

So close to bying this If it had a decent battery. I fear now though that the only thing I can replace my Lenovo P2 with is a Lenovo P3 (If/When it ever appears)

Heat added, but the lack of waterproofing is what puts me off buying one

The Oneplus 5 is water resistant, it just isn't market as such. I imagine the build of the 5T isn't far off. It's probably so they don't have to take responsibility when/if that resistance fails, a bit like how Samsung refused to fix/replace any water damaged Galaxy S7s angering customers, despite being sold as water resistant.

The smartphone industry is over populated and well overdue a shake up.
One plus have let their loyal followers down badly with their recent data mining aka Spying scandal.
You have to ask if they'll be still around in 2 years time...

They won’t but it don’t stop this being a deal. Although I don’t think the one plus phones are any good just get a cheap Chinese Xiaomi redmi note 5 our early next year or a lenovo p2. Both 90% as good but half the price.

Same, it's between the S8, mi mix2 and 5t. This is the most appealing for its price point

Cost = Mi Mix2, Features = S8, Speed = 5t.

That's the way I see it.

Paying £400-£500 for the privilege of a company collecting mass quantities of data about your behaviour and sending it to themselves seems like a great bargain.

Or you could pay £580 for the iPhone 8 at very (posted elsewhere on this site) and you'll have none of the privacy concerns.

Have you checked out the lg g6q? Most of us only use the phone for browsing, whatsapp and media for which this is plenty powerful enough plus its on at a mid range price

But the Mi mix isn't much cheaper? With that you potentially face import costs and no UK warranty

Wow I had no idea about this spying - thanks for the heads up.
It seems you can disable is via adb but it begs the question.. why should you have to in the first place?

Mi mix 2 can be bought from Xiaomi Spain. Therefore eu warranty and no import duty.
Miui9 on mi mix 2 is pants though so will need to have Google apps installed and possible Rom flash to get a more pure android experience.

May still go for a LG G6 as I'm not a student.

True but it does convert to about £450 and I'm guessing shipping it back and forth to Spain won't be cheap. I've been thinking about this and it seems quite a bit more effort.

LG's bootloop fiasco and how they dealt with it has really put me off. G4 was hands down one of the best phones but I bought from eglobal, neither would honour the warranty and both handsets died. We now have 2 expensive bricks

Can you not only get the iphone 8 from very if you have a credit account? That rules out new customers?

The OP5 is not water resistant, every teardown has shown the devices has NO water resistant sealants on the device.

People said the OPO, OP2,OP3,OP3T were all waterproof and they all turned out not to be.
Do you see the sane pattern forming around each drvice.?
HYPE!

My daughter dropped here phone down the toilet I retrieve, it dried it out and its still working 2 years on. Does that make it waterproof? I was I just lucky.

I had a p2 and indeed it had excellent battery. But I sold it for op5 and unbelievably made my money back on eBay. There were a couple of faults with the p2 and infuriated me, like Bluetooth crashes that forgot your devices. These are unbelievable, what it has an excellent battery, and with dash charge plug them in for 20mins and its well topped up!

I can't believe people continue to post this kind of rubbish.
You don't know the phone status or condition before or after this video.
The device could have stripped and all the ports sealed the device could be a brick, they may have used more than 1 device.

If your water tags are soiled your warranty will be non and void just remember that.

This is real

I can't see this being legit, the offer says OP5 and I can't see OP giving 10% off at launch.
The 10% was only because they couldn't shift the 5, with the jelly screen and old design.

It says "This discount grants you 10% off any order (limit 1 smartphone)" so it certainley looks like it should be?

Yes, it's on their website.

Can't believe no one has mentioned it so far but IMHO the Nokia 8 is much better value than OnePlus now, especially at under £400 now at CPW & Amazon.

Doesn't have amoled screen but has one of the best IPS screens with higher quad HD resolution. The smaller screen is compensated by hard buttons.

It has a microsd slot.

Pure stock android with regular updates. Absolutely no bloat or reporting back to China.

Yes it has big bezels but they suit me just fine as I can't get on with edge/bezel free phones, get major palm check issues.

Camera hardware is superb with OIS, Google Pixel camera app improves things greatly.

I think Nokia 8 is the new OnePlus at the lower price.

Last I checked it was £381 at Amazon.
