Double heads up the oneplus 6 has been quoted as been more expensive than any past oneplus model

JoyBuy (JD.com) are the second biggest online retailer in the world. Only Amazon outsells them globally.

As far as Chinese retailers go you do not get much bigger or safer.

I do wish posters would research the seller , instead of googling "Cheapest xxxx" and posting the result - which will always be a Chinese seller of very poor repute

Talking of doing your research - they are part of the rather huge, Nasdaq-listed JD.com. And talking of poor reviews, I note the company with arguably THE best CS, Amazon UK, gets a trust score of 3.9/10 on trustpilot, 0.8 less than JD.com,. Hmmm....

Looks decent...will be £500 minimum I would've thought though
Triple Heads up this will come with Chinese Firmware on it and will need re-flashing with the UK firmware version to take full advantage of all Google/Android services!
Fourth heads up more ram doesnt mean its faster as i discovered recently when my 3gm ram Huawei p8 lite 2017 had water damage i had to go back to my old nexus 5 and its definitely faster with 2gb ram. Its how apple tweak it and make theres fast too i guess.

Probably because the Nexus 5 have better implemented the AOSP ROM better.

Fortunately for 1+ fans. This has an amazing amount of RAM a good CPU and close to stock ROM

2 extra gb ram which are redundant whilst the device still reloads apps.
Nice yellow screen bug that's doing the rounds on the latest update.
So very tempted, but 20 to 30 days delivery means Nokia 7+out by then. Must resist....

Check the Sharp Aquos S2 thread. Some posters have received their phones within 15 days. From the same retailer (part of the massive JD.com group).

You're right - ultimately it is down to operating system optimisations, though hardware goes a long way. More ram increases 'memory space' essentially, and allows your phone to have open more apps, and remember which state they are in..among many other things.

Hate to say it but apple do a very good job optimising their os..and both are based on Linux so their is room for improvement on androids part
7th headsup the price was ~300 a few days ago and varies a lot on the site for this deal.
Octagonal heads up to confirm the authenticity of a previous post. chinosa.com/web…uy/

uk.trustpilot.com/rev…com

There is an 8 sided shape to every story, and only on a couple of occasions I've had problems receiving from China. I have never had problems getting refunds though, but I've always used PayPal.

Totally agree. The posters of these deals reallly need to put it in the title or description that these phones do not carry the usually warranty we expect. And before any mentions section 75, I won’t out of principle rely on that clause of my credit to cover inadequate warranties.

Voting cold on these deals until these info is made clear

Such an entitled pos for someone with 2 deals over 11 years
Import Tax and Custom Duties will take the price up.

More and more of these Chinese companies are appearing on here and more and more are made to look like they are British companies (for example, .co.uk websites and union jacks in the website banner). I have no problem with people buying from Chinese websites, as long as they know that is where their goods are directly coming from and increased hassle they will go through if something goes wrong)

My lack of deal posting does not make what I'm saying any less valid.
According to press releases JD.com (JoyBuy) will launch official European Operations later this year in an attempt to grab EU market share from Amazon. They will start by opening a $1Bn warehouse within France.

In the meantime you can only order from their Chinese website and you'll have to wait 20-30 days for delivery. Whether the savings are worth the delay depends upon the individual - I ordered a 5T from JoyBuy last week for my son's birthday in June. So long as it arrives within 6-weeks I'll be happy with the £100-£150 saving over UK prices. Sure the 6 will be out soon, but that will cost £200 more, and that will be superseded 6-months later.
Bottoms up
What if the phone developes a fault. Would you still have the 2 year Warranty that Oneplus offers to UK customers?

The spec of phone like this make iPhone looks stupid.
It is unbelievable people want to pay double this price and specs even much inferior.

I still have the OnePlus 3 and it's still brilliant. Will be investing in a OnePlus 6 when it comes out
How easy is it to flash the rom with UK/European version? Do I need a PC or could it be done on a Mac?

If I flash the international rim will Google Pay/Pokémon Go/Banking Apps still work in the UK?
Bought the op5t earlier this week through O2. Got the family and friends discount so worked out to £30 a month.
Going to clear what I owe for the phone a bit earlier though.

Absolutely fantastic phone, highly recommended.
Just got my new phone took only 10 days to arrive from China , installed the international rom within 5 min , very happy and thank you for the deal OP
