Because the iPhone X is £1000+

So this is relatively a bargain in comparison. Although still overpriced IMHO

This is as powerful as a laptop wow...
As always getting voted cold as no one is going to risk £400+ with this type of seller.
Great hardware, very poor buggy software. I am a 3T user for over 1 year.
I bought mine from the O2 store. No need to buy online.

Also the 8.0 got rolled out today.
Quality phone - delivers upto expectations. £400 in a £800-£1000 phone world today is not overpriced period.

Did u buy it sim free?
£499 is the RRP from O2 for the 128GB they come unlocked.
No warranty from Banggood unless you fancy posting back to China at your own expense and hope it arrives.

Bought my OnePlus 5 from BG. Arrived in a few weeks and no customs charges. Registered with 1+ for warranty.
Was stung by LG when I bought a new phone from eBay then they refused any warranty so buying from BG was a better option.
Only if they used a decent quality camera which is the biggest let down!

Yes as in I didn't pay for the sim. I ordered it online and did a click and collect from my store. I paid £499.99 for the 128GB model and when i went to the store to pick it up I was given a free PAYG sim that I just binned.

By the way, these are all DUAL sim phones.

It was unlocked with zero bloat. Its 99.99% pure android. As mentioned Oreo 8.0 rolled out today too.

That's not been my experience on the OP3. Both hardware and software have been rock solid. I lost mine last year and replacing with another OP3 was a no brainer. In 1.5 years of ownership, apps crashing <10 times, no random reboots. Maybe I'm lucky or you are not.

That was my experience as well. The .01% tweaks from pure Android are all good ones.

Did you get confirmation from OP they would handle warranty ?
They might have changed policy but they don't cover OP phones bought from resellers.
OP will point you to the seller of the phone...banggood.

No drama cos eligible for UK-based warranty via S75 when paying merchant directly by UK credit card. Banggood accepts direct payment by credit card so the UK credit card company assumes the delivery and warranty obligations of the merchant.

I have another friend with the same phone and he has exactly the same issues, even though I showed him the most, and silly "features" such as:
* if your phone gets locked during a conversation, you cannot double tap to unlock it and you need to use the button
* taking pictures whilst recording a video in 720p and 1070p come with full frame and not cropped like the actual video
* many times I pick up the phone from the desk and cannot double tap to unlock it - it freezes for a few seconds
* since android 8, for 1 out of 4 apps that I use I get the bloody 'is using battery' notification enough times per day
* they removed the unlock vibration for fingerprint unlock, but not for double tap and there is no option either
* certain apps are making noise in 'Do not disturb' mode because you cannot mute the sounds for notification

And I can continue for another 1-2 hours of writing about what is annoying at this phone... App crashes are not common anymore on Android, but I get a few of those every now and then since Android 8.

That's a lot of issues Andreialisen. I don't suffer any of those issues but I probably use my phone completely differently to you. I can say that my phone does vibrate when I unlock with my fingerprint though. I think the Android 8 update was a little rushed in comparison to the Android 7 update last year. In my experience with One Plus in the last year, they have been good in sorting the issues and I know the 5.0.2 Oxygen OS update is just around the corner.

It's registered with them ("for warranty") and they know where it was bought from. But then, so did LG.... It wasn't until I came to claim for the GPS issue that they refused to admit there is a known problem and said new phones bought on eBay are not covered.
Hopefully I won't have to find out! So far very pleased with my 5.

The notification about apps using battery is a feature in android 8 so you can't balme that one on oneplus, if you do a search I think there's an app which can get rid of it

"feature", lol. I have a few groups on 'mute' on WhatsApp and almost every few messages I get, that notifications is showing up. Completely useless.
Since my 3t updated to oreo late last year the sound gives out every now and then. Means I miss texts because it has stopped notifying me unless it still lets me know via my watch which it does occasionally. In call volume also drops off and I have to reboot to improve both these problems.

I also bought from O2 so I was covered by UK regulations.

Comparisons are fake, best pictures selected and shot on tripods.Theybare not a true representation of what you will produce.
All of Oneplus's phone have had poor camera's
Video reproduction is rubbish with a 20-30% crop of the original field of view on the front and the rear camera
Look for low light video reviwers it's shocking, all the major reviwers avoid showing this like the plague.
Any movement brings a blurring to the video, there is no ois so it really is hit or miss.
If you need a good cam you won't find one here.
