It's not 2k/QHD screen, it's just a Full HD in a 18:9 aspect ratio.
It's not 18:9, it's 2:1!

It's the same as 36:18
Interesting how this has gone mega hot on the Germany sister site but cold here.

Copied specs across. Amended title
OnePlus is a great phone and I follow their management team on Twitter and they are very customer focused. Anyone considering a OnePlus phone will not be disappointed and they hold the price which is great for resale value. Price has risen from the older versions, but that is not suprising in my opinion as they really do use hi specs camparable to much more expensive phones.
Excellent phone this. My wife has the oneplus 5 and much prefers it to the galaxy s7 she swapped it for. Its very fast, battery lasts at least a full day with heavy use and the camera and screen are great.

As a OP3 owner I agree with what you are saying but to give a balanced view there are a few things to remember:-
-There support of the OP2 and the X was terrible.
-They keep doing things with respect to privacy that they shouldn't be.
For me, the price and fantastic experience out way the negatives.
The 64GB variant is pointless. My Oneplus 1 3 years ago had 64GB...
I had a oneplus one which I bought on this very site (remember when we could). That was back in the days of cyanogenmod and then oxygen os.

I loved my oneplus but the only issue was if it develops a fault it was an RMA to Hong Kong.

I'm sure it's better now and if I had the money (or could get anyone to swap one for my galaxy S8) then I'd jump at the chance.

Mine does still, and its not full. Everything is cloud based now. Id go for the 64gb new one, if my oneplus 1 wasn't running lineage perfectly.

Disagree. Not even using half on my 3T. Everything lives in the cloud these days

Maybe for you but my oneplus 3 has 64GB and is only half full, I have a lot of music and pictures in the cloud via Google and Dropbox.

With regards the customer service issues raised above, these have been demonstrably better than they were two years ago. Yes, there has been spyware/privacy issues in oxygenOS but the price for the spec seriously outweighs that, especially when its ridiculously easy to put other ROMs on them (with lots of backup via the guys at XDA)

I am confused as to why this went over 400 degrees on deal labs (sister site), and has gone cold here. No reasons seem to have been given. This phone is still selling at 110 quid more else where. Oh well, must be iSheep I guess.

I have it, and the screen is absolutely beautiful. One of the best screens I've seen on a phone, if you ever pass by an O2 store then have a look your self, you'll be amazed. And it gets super bright, even in moderate sunlight it's still very bright.

So the whole 'OnePlus Spyware' thing got debunked recently, turns out it wasn't sensitive information being sent to 'secrect databases in China'.

You take your PC with you on holiday? Why you playing dumb I don't understand. Since the phone lacks memory card slot on purpose 64GB in 2018 is pure bs. If you can't fill 64gb, why do you need a 5t at a first place? You can do the same with another phone 1/3 of the price. Jeez.

No, it was a genuine question. You store 4k videos on your phone?

I would never even consider watching a 4k movie on my phone. There are plenty of cheap tablet choices out there that would be a far batter choice.

Regardless...you do realise that the screen is only HD and not 4k? What would be the point in storing a 4k video? A ripped DVD is around 1GB. Even if it was 4k, what would be the point on such a small screen. Just like 4k is "pointless" on TVs under 50 inches (IMHO)

Your comment about not needing a 5T just because i don't fill the space is pretty short sighted. All my photos are backed up to Google, and not stored locally. All my music is streamed from GPM, I keep enough offline to do a round the world trip twice...and i have room left over to store films if i wanted to.

You can watch films on any number of devices starting from around £50, (with expandable storage), if that's what you want, why do you need a phone like this? Maybe for everything else it offers?

To be a power user, you don't need to live in the dark ages and store things locally.

Problem solved for you

I was talking about shooting 4k videos. I know very well everybody is on Netflix nowadays. One hour of 4k is 20GB on that phone so you do the math. Again, if 64GB is enough for you in 2018 you really don't need a Oneplus 5t. Get yourself a Xiaomi Note 5 Plus for £150 and donate the rest for charity.

Pipe down you clown. I read exactly what you said.

I didn't buy my 3T to shoot 4k video and not many do. If I were doing that seriously, I'd buy a proper camera. No one buys a oneplus for its camera. It's crap

I do take plenty of short clips and they upload to the cloud and delete from my phone. Done. No issue.

There are many many reasons to have this phone over and above your stupid use case (that no one else in the world would seriously use a phone for)

What proportion of the sales do you think are for the 64gb model Vs the higher on all models? The vast majority take the base storage. Over 80% of the iPhones are sold at 64gb. Are 80% of people wrong and you're right? Should they all have given their money to charity? Or could maybe, just maybe, you could be wrong?

Is this the international version and does it have international warranty ? Also should I expect a duty charge on top from hk ?
