In thinking of upgrading what price are you looking to pay? Is £700 too much for it? I just want to not get had off with the price.

£700 is too much for a OnePlus it's a chinese phone after all. Their plan now seems to be "nearly flagship, nearly top spec, nearly vanilla software, nearly flagship price". As good as they've been in the past, they've lost their way - especially after dropping the headphone jack. Pricing is now in proper flagship territory. You can get a P30 Pro, Pixel or S10+ around that price if you lookout for deals. Posting this from a OnePlus, I'm not going to buy another phone from these guys again. This is my personal opinion/rant...I'd rather pay a bit more and get a real flagship.

700 is well worth the money, I've got a razer phone atm (120hz screen) and I love the specs of this phone like the bezel, screen size, oled, res, camera etc so i'm just looking to save a decent amount before i buy. But if you are looking to buy 700 for this spec is incredible considering iphone prices, samsung etc. I'd happily pay 1000 for this phone I think but i'd like to get the 12GB RAM version for a bit cheaper if possible. All down to preference.

I paid for mine on release date and never regret it, and this is coming from iphone x and Samsung 10 user

(had the 6T too)

and to me the OS, firmware updates and the quality of any Oneplus phone is incredible

I did some research on other phones with the same processor and cost much less but to me Oneplus will always be my choice of phone and plus the QHD/90HZ /no notch is better then a FHD display

Camera has been getting constant updates which to me is up to par with other high end phones (but not a pro photographer and not really into this whole argument of using a phone camera to take 'pro' pictures!)

90Hz and QHD makes this phone a breeze and the battery life last me a whole day and I am a moderate to heavy use user

He was a little OTT...

I wouldn't pay 1k for the Oneplus 7 Pro unless it has what the s10/10+ has in features

£700 is about right to me

but if future OP releases that has all the Samsung features (S11 and so on) with the latest processor and all costing roughly same amount as the future samsungs/ iphones then i would take the OP over these.
Far Too much for a OP and far to much to pay without IP certification, wireless charging and Flagship level camera.

for some yes but for others no,

I for one don't really use the wireless charging, Camera is top notched better then most phones out there (again to me and guess I'm not a 'PRO' photographer), IP certification...IDK...I never use my phone in water or taking a pee and so on (maybe for bragging rights, same with phone cameras) It's no Pixel camera but it sure takes good photo's, alot better then decent

£700 for a OP, really I wouldn't pay £700 for the S10+ unless it was a contract deal
£700 + a decent sim will see 2 years at around £1060, you can get any device for that kind of money with a big data package.

The camera is not top notch, that much has been established no matter what OP have done.
2 reports of water damage on the forum, I bet they wished IP certification was included with a minimum of $250 repair bill if it is only the Mobo.
IP certification also covers dust and dust in the camera lenses is being reported.

With the Red Magic 3 at £419 direct. £700 for a OP Is looking rather expensive.

Each to their own as I say.

Red Magic 3 as I say like any other Fhd Oled screens, I like QHD Oled Notchless display and with the bonus 90Hz making it a good buy for me.

There will be few clumsy ones just like how some drops their phones on hard floors or somehow damaged the screen and so on...

Well to me it's top notched but as i say I am no 'PRO' photographer.

"IP certification also covers dust and dust in the camera lenses is being reported" that I never heard or seen that report but will check, I know I see dust 'on' my camera (front) but just a wipe and it goes away
Red magic 3 had.a 90 hz screen first also so I don't see a £300 difference, especially with the Magic 3 having superior performance and a bigger battery
But yes ech to their own
And the camera is not top notch so saying it won't change the that, even Youtubers are finding it hard to blag it and the word average is now being used.

That magic firmware Dxo had, still hasn't turned up yet.
