This or your mate 20x?
adamderak29/07/2019 13:03

Reckon the Huawei has the better camera

Definitely, no doubting that.

Bigger battery as well.

I'm still running a mate 10, non pro. Prefer the wider screen. Upgraded to mate 20, non pro but camera was no better than mate 10.
Probably get the mate 20 pro or 20x next

The battery makes it a keeper for me, as I said earlier in a different post...

My note 9 would be on its last legs by 4pm, by 4pm yesterday this still had 40% on it, to put that in context, the screen is on on my phone for the most part of the day.

That's why I like Huawei. Most mobiles these days can do most things. Even mid range phones can do 99% off top tier phones.
But battery & camera are 2 major points.
Both Huawei Excell in.

20x nudges it for me Adam, got at least 3/4 day more on my 20x than my op7p and in an odd way it just seems all the more fluid, got a 20x 5g coming so think that will be the top of the tree for 2019 as far as VS the op7p range

Or you could hold on for the 30 pro with the 80mpx lens!!!

80mpx!!! Sounds epic. I run usually one handset design older as you get the most bang for your money whilst the technology at 12' months old is still relatively current.

I wouldn't say so, gcam on op7 pro provides another perspective , UI is not even comparable , but that's my personal opinion, there are chaps happy with Huawei software, there are that aint... I would say ideal world would be to try em both xd
Whats the best method to guarantee delivery? Paypal? credit card?
Anyone brought anything from eglobal before?
No doubt great price for great piece of hardware. I feel this is far better than S10+. The only problem is that it's too big for one hand usage.

Does the phone auto update just like any other European purchased phone or will have to manually updated each time

I thought I am only myself feeling that Note 9 battery is utterly poorly balanced. Often I need 2x topups a day to have it going. UI sometimes too laggy (especially when tapping contacts/phone/directdial). My nest phone must be with snapdragon = better gaming performance. Waiting fot OP7Pro to drop the price even more, then I will get it.

Won't be getting involved here with all, and trying to promote the 7 pro, but for anyone who actually know stuff in android, and know how good the Oxygen is, u wont be disappointed in gettin it, battery for me personally around 6 to 8 h sot easily per day with my usage, but plugging the phone for like 15 min, provide u enough battery for leavin for work etc, and one thing to mention too, 90hz screen refresh its something u will notice when going back to other phones with 60 gcam works flawlessly, and plenty of people working on it, also with root, works on all auxiliary cameras , hope that helped somehow

Agreed on these points. Possibly I'm blinded by the vanilla Android OS (Oxygen)

True, the OnePlus does have superior software. Samsung's is a bit of a mess.

I'd assume it's the official rom, and therefore will get updates like every other oneplus

Perhaps my expectations to one of the most expensive phone in the world were too high?

Compared to vanilla Android yes, it has quite a lot of bloat as they try and suck you into their ecosystem, I have an S10+ BTW. Bixby, Upday, Samsung Pay (which Barclays will not let you use), Dex, Samsung Cloud etc etc, loads of preinstalled things. It's not as bad as it used to be though from a UI perspective, especially as I just put Nova Launcher on anyway.

I got mine for £500, S10+. Try getting an Apple XS for that.

Is there something better?
Flashed OS means the operating system doesn't work as efficiently
I'm referring to RRP at launch price. Was there anything more expensive than Note 9 in Android department?

Bloat?

Is that all anyone can say.
What you call bloat more people use than not, or actually install it.
I didnt see the bloat on the S10 hold it back as it slaughtered the OP7 pro on speed test G ( a real performance test)

.Samsung pay is said to be the most secure payment method.
.Dex
You can use your phone as a desktop, more importantly watch superior quality video from your phone to tv.
.Bixby has it uses and goes well beyond any other assistant as far as controlling your phone remotely.

Nova launcher is the next continually repeated line. I don't find Nova launcher particularly good.

What about Google bloat on vanilla Android?

Google music
Google games
Duo
Google books
The always spying Google app.
Etc etc.

You're just repeating what Stock Android fans have been saying for years.
How's the Pixels doing? I don't see many buying them and I don't see Vanilla Android stopping them lagging.

RRP,
The Kop out, was there anything as good?
The iPhone cost more, that wasnt as good. The Pixel was £100 less and that was pants.
The only thing close to it was the Mate 20 Pro, how much did that cost?
anyone bought from eglobal? the no warrenty thing is abit worrying that include no manufacturers warrenty?

Yes plenty of times never had to claim or any sort of warranty before so lack of it doesn't put me off
Has the deal expired? It shows as £556.69 for me?

True on a few points. Waterproofing is irrelevant as Samsung won't stand by their claims if there IS any water damage (e.g. from faulty sealing)
