Don't understand the obsession with having a waterproof or dustproof rated (IP68 etc) phone anyway. Your Samsungs, iPhones, Huaweis and the likes aren't covered under warranty from water or dust damage so if they do get submerged and end up damaged as a result you're paying out of pocket for it. As stated earlier in the thread, recent Oneplus phones have all the appropriate seals to ensure if that they get wet (from rain, a sink splash etc) then they'll be fine. I couldn't give a monkeys if they're IP certified or not.

Now, on to the deal. Absolute scorcher. Such a great phone for the money. Heat!

That's a lot of phone for the money! Have some heat.
this is the price it should really be at!, the risk of customs though, not worth it for me

Will dash charge still work if this is a US plug with a converter provided by aliexpress? Also, how is the customer service for aliexpress if the item is not delivered? I read alot of negative comments re eglobals oneplus deal due to the poor customer service

I've not had to raise any tickets myself, but one time a company didn't dispatch my product in the "processing time" allocated to them, and AliExpress automatically cancelled the order for me and ensured my I'd get a refund.
Quite convenient actually because I don't normally check when things are dispatched.
If only it was the pro. But idk if I can go with a phone without ip68 these days London weather and all

Not sure about this one In particular but I thought the story with one plus always was that their phones were more or less ip68 rated but they didn’t get the official certification

Yep.

Plus most savy folk have some decent insurance via banks or benefits anyway.

I can do anything to my phone and it's 25£ excess - the end. Nationwide

Ip rated I believe for less than 30 minutes.

This guy submerged it for longer and then didn't make any attempt to dry it out like putting in rice etc.

So for me that video doesn't, pardon the pun, hold water.

Its bogus. Any phone can survive a few splashes oneplus just cheapened out of giving the users an official ip rating

True they have to pay to get a stupid rubber stamp whereas they say they keep the price down by not getting it rated but watch YouTube videos it is just as waterproof as an ip rated phone
Good deal but man is that ugly. Buy the regular 7 instead.

If you buy the phone, then don't use the adapter that Aliexpress provide, just buy a 2amp shaver plug, a uk one, and the warp charger will work.
5g compatible?
If you do get stung at customs the total will be £453, plus any extra charges from the delivery company. Is it worth saving £100 and not getting a warranty or warp charger that needs a converter?

It's worth the risk for me

Don't read to much into into waterproofing. I'm still using my OP5T in Scotland and the weather is much wetter zero issues
Is this the same phone as OnePlus sell on their official website?
Mate 20 pro is still going strong.... Must resist!

That 90hz is VERY tempting though

Your phone doesn't need to be able to withstand complete submersion to survive a few drops of rain, surely?

Phones didn't always have waterproof ratings and I've personally never known of anyone that has had a phone break from using it in the rain

Not so fragile they give up the ghost after a little rain... Majority of the phones I've owned have not had any IP rating and I've never had any issues. Big difference between a few droplets and dropping it in a pool
