If you aren't in a hurry, it might be worth giving this a go!

I may have got lucky but I ordered this lock on the 20th of August when it was around £18 (and it was showing 'temporarily out of stock, we'll email you when we get more').

I emailed them and got some mixed responses to when they would get more in stock but mine arrived today. This time however, they have actually set a date.

So if your bike isn't in jeopardy anytime soon, this could potentially be a bargain for a gold sold secure lock with a cable!

What's weird about this is that is has gradually been getting cheaper day by day. Amazon keep knocking around 30p off daily. Wot iz goin on ere ?!?!

Probably somebody else reducing their price and Amazon reacting. Sadly they're only usually cheap because they price match and slightly undercut,

Anyway, my dislike of Amazon aside, heat added for a good deal.

Good review from 2009 at RRP (?) of £34.

Ordered. Thanks

Yeah that's an older model by the looks of things.

I'm still eagerly anticipating the comment from Pateo about greasing the barrel.

Thanks OP, been after one of these for ages, heat

I have the longer shackle version, not a bad lock. Certainly fine for my £400 spexh, my brother uses multiple locks on his bike though as its worth several grand. Made the mistake of parking up in Rhyl once, was only gone 10 mins and some **** git was already halfway through the cable part. No idea why as the main shackle was on a fixed point, at best he'd have been able to steal a wheel but thats crackheads for you.

You're right, of course. I didn't read the manufacturer's blurb about what they've changed from the previous version until after posting...

. Did he just run off? I have this and it feels very secure. Thought the attachment for the frame was not sturdy enough for this seriously heavy shackle though

Is this definitely a gold sold rated lock? Can't see anything in the description on Amazon.

I dont mind waiting looks good, purchased thanks

Good lock!

I can't see how I can tie my dog with this thing. Does it come with instructions?

this thing is a brute, it's very heavy, I know, I have one. Leave it at work now, might get another to have at home or if I plan on going out and leaving the bike

The turds doing this got caught in broad daylight so always use a D-lock.

Damm I'm surprised it survived!

Absolute bargain.
When I have back ordered on deals with Amazon they have always delivered, but one took up to 2 months. Ok if you're not in a hurry.
Heat added.

He had a mate waiting in a car. It was outside the hungry horse pub just to the south of Rhyl town centre, we spotted him and ran out but but he jumped in a car and was whisked away. Shame as there were 6 of us, would have loved a crack at him and his mate. Made me realise how crap these cables are though, a tiny pair of snips can get through them in maybe a minute max if you are desperate. Lots of small cuts and its useless, just make sure the main shackle holds the frame and use the cable just for wheels.

Even on my very basic spesh I use a decent shackle lock on the frame always, the cables only slow people slightly. Luckily mine now looks like **** but rides great so is pretty safe.

Got one on back order. Cheers :-)

Read the description muppet

mods, please unexpired, deal still on, orders still being taken, most likely supplied, muppet alert triggered

I have this lock and it saved my frame and wheels being stolen which is the main thing. Unfortunately my accessories/components were stolen instead. Its a solid lock, not as heavy as the kryptonite new York which I also have. One thing to note is the bike lock frame mount wears out after a while so the lock can sway into your legs as you cycle.

Grease is the word, regardless of the price, quality or type of lock!

updated arrival date of 18th of September

I just got an updated delivery date of Oct 15 - 21. A long wait, but worth it for the price!

Hi all, mine finally arrived.

I am trying to register the lock on onguardlock.com - but it seems it can only be done for US customers. Anyone had luck registering in the UK?

Cheers
