I'm currently looking for a home cinema system and came across this deal at Best Buy.

Although the price is £219.98, there is currently a 10% discount code, so add the following in the promo code box in your basket to get it down to £197.98: CINEMA10E

This same system was posted a few weeks back in Best Buys 100 hours sale at the higher price of £240.

Don't forget TCB/Quidco for an extra 8% off. If cashback comes through this system will effectively cost £182. BARGAIN!!

The blurb:
The Onkyo HT-S3305 5.1 AV Receiver and Speaker System delivers sound with a real punch. With 3 HDMI inputs and HDMI 1.4 support you can connect your Blu-ray player, games console or set top box and enjoy powerful surround sound with genuine clarity.

Great deal posted myself acouple of weeks back but now down another £10....I paid more for it from RS a few months back and although very reasonably priced it is a great home AV system and would recommend it......

Heating you up.......X)

Good price. Don't count on quidco cashback. Just had mine declined for Pioneer receiver

wait for it...........

.............

Can't bear the suspense. O.k., here goes,

Sonly Onkyo!

Would TCB track better than Quidco?

Not bad price for a budget system.

Passive sub tho. Speakers not highly rated I hear, but would benefit from fronts being changed

Might be tempted by the 5305B (Or 6305) tho. Far better reviews.

I've also been refused the VAT cashback they offered at the end of last year.

Do you know why it was declined.

A few people have mentioned problems, I have had all mine upto now no problem £131 worth with more to come. I have had a couple of things declined but I know the reason for them.

You can always challenge them via Quidco if you don't get it and you think you should do.

Ordered - missed out last time around because home delivery was not available.

Thanks poster..

Very tempted by this but I've never shopped with bestbuy, are they okay??

Also, as this is kinda end of the line does anyone know if the new range are much better? Obviously they wouldnt be at this bargain price but wondering if they'll be worth the extra.

Bought a couple of things from Best Buy, for home delivery.

Delivery has been prompt. Customer service, when needed, has been good. Quidco has been slow to track, but after a couple of months, it did eventually show up.

Hope this helps...

Finally took the plunge after considering home cinema systems for month. Hit the confirm button only to be told NOW OUT OF STOCK. Drat!

Thanks, it does.

Not to worried about slow quidco, and always best to not rely on definitely getting the cashback.

What he meant to say was 'No, that isn't a daft question. All Audio/Visual receivers have the amp built in'

He is obviously not used to the old system of separate amps. but then he DID quote you in full stereo, notice.:)

Thanks rizla01. Will bookmark this and wait for stock.

Bought this with the deal last week. Sound a nice setup.
360 gaming is so much clearer in 5.1

My quidco has always tracked ok with Best Buy - I use CCleaner before ordering to clear cookies and then tracks ok.

Think I might upgrade the speaker cable to the Cambridge Audio SYMPHONY 200 just to see (or hear) if it makes any difference.

For a normal TV watcher/Gamer then this kit is more than anough - I'll never be able to crank it right up, but gave it a good testing with the Pirates of the Carribean trilogy and also The Dark Knight, Rocked em all

Edit:
Kinda Glad its outta stock now as I was contemplating buying a 2nd one for upstairs - This site costs me (and saves me) a fortune!!!

Ordered one yesterday @ Aintree store for store pick up, then the staff rang me they don't have it in stock?! What use of a good price when you go onto their site and order it only for them to turn round and say they have no stock? What a joke....

great buy good price !!
