Looks like a great price. I have been looking for dlna in a 2.0 receiver for a while. I would be interested in anyone who has one. Don't be shy, even if it is an unknown brand...

135 W/Ch of pure high-current analog power courtesy of a discrete low-impedance amplification system, your speakers are driven with depth and clarity no matter what audio source you select!

Ok, so the thing is I have a marantz nr1602 no longer supported, shoddy UI and I think this is the replacement. Anyone out there able to tell me about the UI and app?
How much for a no name brand?!!
Que Loughborough Guy............
I'm not qualified to talk about this particular product but I can absolutely say that Onkyo are far from an unknown/no name brand in HiFi and AV circles.

So you haven't heard of them and can have what ever opinion you like with your own cash behind your own door. However, it's not cricket to publicly put people off this product by making inappropriate comment about a subject you clearly don't know anything about, based on assumption and ignorance. Sorry to be so direct, but you obviously know nothing about this brand or the market they cater to. So zip it!!

If it was a good brand, surely chains like Currys or John Lewis would stock them. People are within their right to question the wisdom of spending so much on a chinese brand. It's not a £20 android box that you can toss away. Better safe than sorry when it comes to big purchases and wise to stick with known brands with a high-street presence.

Onkyo is a Japanese company for a start. Currys and John Lewis don't stock receivers so not sure what you're going on about.

Nice sofa btw.

Please walk away. Unheard of brand.

Can't go wrong with a solid established brand like Sony.

Who knew
Hmm, £479 at Amazon. I wonder if this will price drop as new model is out soon amazon.co.uk/gp/…1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488373242&sr=8-1π=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=onkyo+tx8150&tag=ethings-21
I will answer my own question. The app has a demo mode and looks OK. It doesn't give any idea of real time speed though and my ok d marantz has to think about anything for a while
