Great price OP
They need to stick to making yogurts.
Remember, no one is to mention Sony.
Whats with the different input styles for the front speakers vs centre/rears?
Seems a bit odd to me!

Follow up question for any audiophiles - I'm looking at this to replace a Sony STRDH 820, paired with Wharfdale MS-100 5.1 system. Thats an 8 ohm receiver with 4ohm speakers which I only recently realised, but has been running for years with no issues. Am I just throwing money away here? Grateful for any advice

I've thought of this too in the past... It's probably to "force" you in to paying a "little" extra on a more expensive model. Surely the cost of doing this isn't really worth it, but I wouldn't know.

That joke is wearing so thin you can actually see through it.

That, but it's £100 more. If your budget can stretch the Pioneer is definitely better.

Of course it is. You weren't even around.

I’ve been around a lot longer than my current profile, believe me!
Am I missing something? How is it atmos if it’s only 5.1?

From here stereo.net.au/rev…ver

The question on many people's minds is likely how you can get Dolby Atmos from a 5.2 channel AVR? This is accomplished by forgoing the rear speakers in favour of Atmos height channels. Not exactly my cup of tea, but each to their own, I guess.
Kids this is a bargain

You do realise that it's against the rules and regs of HUKD to have more than one account?
I have no desire to buy a receiver, Onkyo or not, but my little eyes light up every time I see that word on the main page.
It's old, it's repetitive, it's wearing thing, but I'm clicking on every one to see if he's here.

That's still a bit of a con. If something is dolby Atmos, you expect 7.1 channels

I have, and always have had, only one account. I was a long time lurker before signing up.
