lol. i got croydon branch to call them & they said its in good nick. it also has the remote. I have amps that are 15-18 years old & so I know amps never die. they still give 1 years warranty with it so its good.

weak person....wife said no......wtf...eek eek (mouse)

good amp...fairly old now....obviously lacks hmdi 1.4 (and internet radio) and a pretty display (lolol), but has more or less everything else you need

Sony.

Agreed, who the hell is Onkyo? Sounds like you'd buy it and it would blow up in a few months.. Taking you, your wife, children and house with it...

I know all about these. I prefer the black one to the silver one.

Sony.

No thanks. Onkyo beats the pants off them. Sony. Pah...

i think all the other manufacturers seem to have caught though, the 609 looks good but is no better or slightly uglier than the equivelant pioneer, yamaha or denon

You're wrong.

Matsui, Bush, Beko and Amstrad are all far superior products.

Just walk away from this one............oO

I have this amp and for this price it's an utter bargain. I think the cheapest onkyo with a reon chip is now about £1700.
If you're not bothered about 3d and want a real quality av hub this is machine to buy, only thing to consider is it's huge and weighs 25kg

25kg?!? The amp? Blimey.

thermomonkey

25kg?!? The amp? Blimey.

thats what thought then connect cables to all them inputs and outputs(have you seen the rear?) 25kg af cables as well lol great value av amp though

Little known fact:
Onkyo is a company created by Alan Sugar as an upmarket spin-off from Amstrad. Although the outside looks nothing like an Amstrad. Inside Amstrad components are used. Also like Amstrad hi-fi(?) the cases are always massively oversized for what they contain.
Onkyo apparently is Japanese for sugar.
