Bosch Logixx WAS28760 Washing Machine

Free 2 year guarantee

Last year's top-of-the-range Bosch from John Lewis for 500 notes. Yeah you can get Hotpoint with the same spin speed and wash load for £150 less but it will break and chew your clothes up (personal experience).

PLEASE VOTE COLD if you can find it cheaper elsewhere. This year's is the WAS28769 if you fancy Googling that. Blurb to follow.....

For a limited period while stocks last. Not available through our shops or call centres.

This top-of-the-range Bosch WAS28760 washing machine has a very large 8kg load capacity, perfect if you've got a large family.

Its 15 programmes (and 2 memory programmes) give you complete flexibility and control, allowing you to tackle a wide range of load types with ease. These include a 60-minute power wash, a stain removal programme, a super-quick 15-minute wash and a half-load wash that is automatically detected.

This is all controlled from its easy to use LCD display, which also features variable temperature selection, a countdown timer and a delay timer, so you take advantage of off-peak electricity. Getting access to the drum is made easy by its 165° opening door which has a sloping step design and a metal door catch for durability.

Bosch are without doubt the best , we have everything bosch in the kitchen, payed nearly this much for the model down from this one (exxcel ) so this is a great price

Bosch and Siemens - I like

good if you want Bosch, but I would buy this 1200 spin instead - its almost the same machine from the sister brand Siemens.

£40 cheaper and a 5 year manufacturers guarantee

Is this model a John Lewis exclusive?

Can't find it anywhere else to compare the price.

no, there are a few retailers selling it but JLP is cheapest. Not many big names stock it as it doesn't sell well against the Siemens machines with free 5 year guarantees

Discontinued in Autumn last year, replaced with WAS28769GB, may explain lack of retailers with stock to compare.

A good deal though as the new model spec & looks appear no different.

Yeah, I saw that one too (it's the same price BTW). Probably exactly the same machines inside but the Bosch does have some fancy features that I would find useful. The Siemens is a deal in itself IMHO!

Good price but I would probably pay more for a Miele if you are spending £500.
Miele are probably the best brand of washing machines and always get excellent reviews.

They have just started their free 5 and 10 year warranties on selected models so you could pick a model and then shop around for the best price.

eg John Lewis are doing the W562 for £699

So £200 extra for 5 year warranty as opposed to 2 years.

Miele machines are over priced and out of date. You are paying £240 extra for a lower spec machine compared with the Siemens ( which also has a 5 year manufacturers guarantee as std ) but also has a larger 8KG load, time delay, is more efficient and subjectively bettter looking IMO. They also are made in Germany, do well in customer and which reviews and they have also just won ( with Bosch ) the largest industry award for their after sales service, which is their own, not contracted out.

The W562 @ £700 is crazy, look at the spec, its only 6KG for a start.

If only I could buy a Miele for £500! The cheapest one is £700 and has a much, much lower spec. I can buy an extended warranty for £100 or there's always the Sale of Good Act....
