How Onlive Works:

Powerful Gaming Made Easy

* Connect to OnLive with your PC, Mac® or TV and play games instantly
* Games run over the Internet from state-of-the-art OnLive game data centers
* Controller action and game play are relayed up and down the Internet at blindingly fast speeds
* Enjoy instant game play on your PC, Mac® or TV. No high-end hardware required.

* What are the Computer and Internet Requirements to use OnLive?

Currently, all OnLive games are HD resolution and are played through the Internet to your computer.
You’ll need a PC or Mac and an Internet connection that meets the Minimum System Requirements.
If you meet the Recommended System Requirements you'll see better video quality, particularly on a large display.

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

1. Internet Connection: 3 Mbps wired or Wi-Fi connection
2. Operating System: Windows 7 or Vista (32 or 64-bit) or XP (32-bit), Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later
3. Computer: Most PCs and netbooks, all Intel-based Macs
4. Screen Resolution: 1024x576

RECOMMENDED SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

1. Internet Connection: 5 Mbps, wired connection
2. Operating System: Windows® 7 or Vista (32 or 64-bit) or XP (32-bit)
3. Mac® OS X 10.6 or later
4. Computer: Dual-core PCs, all Intel-based Macs
5. Screen Resolution: 1280x720

Almost all OnLive users have had good results if their system meets the above requirements, but note that many factors affect network quality and computer performance, including other applications using computer resources, and other users sharing your network. If you meet the above requirements and are having problems with your OnLive experience that you can’t resolve, contact OnLive’s Customer Service team at [email protected]

I can give this a go, being on the backbone of the country in halls of residence I have a 1-2ms ping to London with real download speeds up to 50MBbs (not just mbps). If this service sucks for me, i doubt anyone else in the UK can appreciate it.

Feedback coming later...

You should be able to play demos and watch other users playing games live, while being able to rate users and add friends.

Yeah 1 demo available: some car racing game that was really bad. There again I am not a fan of racing games. I rate this very cold.

I did not have a latency issue but 1 awful game for free and a catalogue of about 12 paid for games at the 3 day/5 day/full licence. I will not be using this site again.

Sorry its not a good deal, just a big advert in my opinion.

1 Demo?? That can't be right.. I have access to lots of demos.

Sorry but you're mistaken. If you click on marketplace, there are lots of games that appear, which you can play. And to rate the service on a game you don't like, that isn't very helpfull at all.

1 game free, rest are paid for on my options. Maybe you got a different type of account or joined before a certain time. I dunno but its not a good deal I am afraid even for free.

Oh well, I believe one year down the line this will re-emmerge as a top deal when it reaches the Uk.

Its like citrix but for games, in other words, the game is host somewhere else.. you guys need to test. it and say it rubbish , its excellent...blah blah...off to bed with a grumpy wife...
