Tempting if it was not IPS Edge LED display. There will be better options just after Christmas if you can wait.
Expensive for a LCD at this size. Need to look this one up before voting. Didn't know they did high spec models in this size anymore
Is the warranty with john Lewis? can't see any warranty details. Also which is better this Panasonic or this LG lg.com/uk/…6lb

I've owned two Panasonic TVs now. I bought a TX-49FX750 LED last year as my entry into 4K/HDR TV. Whilst I'm loathe to admit it, I wouldn't buy Panasonic again. I bought into all the hype but frankly ended up disappointed.

Apps are a particular problem in that you can't add new ones or update the ones that are on there. I'm running Disney+ from my Fire Box (in 720p only) for that reason. Also, the native YouTube app can't play some videos in 4K without constant pausing. I'll buy a 4K Fire Box to fix these issues when it next drops in price but TBH, you shouldn't have to do this in this day & age.

And despite this being a reasonably pricy, branded TV, don't expect any kind of software update... like ever! My TV came with HDR10+ but not Dolby Vision. The newer TVs do get DV support. They could issue a firmware update to add DV support to their older TVs but won't. The 4K Fire Box supports both formats & that's how I plan to fix the issue but why can't Panasonic step up to do this?

Then there's the picture quality. If I put it on Dynamic, I can get a picture where I can see lots of details but then the subtitles are way too bright. I've fiddled with the settings to no avail.

So in short, as a Panasonic owner, I'd say DON'T buy this. Buy a lesser TV & a 4K Fire Box. It will be cheaper & a lot less frustrating experience.

At this price not good at all, better grab a refurbished one like this - hotukdeals.com/dea…006 when available.

Can't compare these at all for so many reasons.
1. New Vs refurb
2. Completely different sizes.
3. Different models with this deal being newer and higher spec
