Bigger image.

I'm really tempted by this offer - does anyone have any first-hand experience of this model?

Cheers,

I can't see how to add it to the basket. Have they sold out?

click on 42 " lcd tv and it lists them as 'customise and buy'

they have 36 in stock

"8ms Response. No smearing.
A fast response time is essential to prevent smearing on fast action scenes" a 8ms on a 42 is ***** ***** *****, don't waste you're money in this\

it really irritates me that people think oOo 42 inch telly for cheap but the rhubarbish! just get a decent 26 or 32 for that price. Most people have currently got 28 or 32 inch CRTs so don't waste you're money!

I spent £900 on a Panasonic 1080p and a HD-DVD player, better deal?

I have to agree that 8ms on a 42" LCD will be awful for fast motion (e.g. footie). I disagree that a 28 or 32 is better spent. All depends on individual circumstances (e.g. room size, distance from TV). Personally after having a 42" for a while now, whenever I see a friends 32" TV it looks tiny. Better off with a Philips PF5532 42" plasma for around the £650 mark.

LOL! And what exactly does the machine you just typed on with its probable 500W PSU do to the environment :giggle:

1080 is just an expensive gimmick (unless of course you sit 3 foot from your screen). I expect you paid £50 for your HDMI cable too

Come on Franco....

What 1080p have you got then, and how much better is it for the environment?

Cheers.

Yeah, don't you just hate all the political bull***t from people carping on the us lesser mortals about saving the planet. E.G. Zac Goldsmith wanting to tax us out of anything that moves yet probably gets 500,000 air miles a year!

I bet he spends them on a 50" plasma too :giggle:

Not when you consider Evesham's reputation lately for service if anything goes awry.

My 40" Samsung is 8ms and I can't say I ever gave it much thought...it's hard to image the picture could be much better watching footy in HD. Does it make that much difference?
