Voting it cold is harsh because £30 is a good price. Spot on with the almost complete comment though because there is almost an hour of previously broadcast material missing from these episodes.

very good love em

didnt actually vote just stated my opinion as I paid the same last year, which is a rip off to me seeing as with bits, missing some episodes dont run together. gladly pay more for a 'full' complete boxset though

Would have bought if they weren't edited to bits.

Me too.:(

Not voted. A great price, sure, but the box set is censored to ribbons, just like every other OFAH home release.

One day the BBC might sort out the licenses, be less PC and release a proper, full, uncut box set. One day...

Some people are just petty! Go and get your time machine's and set your VCR's to record every unedited episode, then come back to 2014 and transfer them all to DVD and flog them for £30. Same price delivered from Amazon too btw. Hot from me.

Seen these in King's Lynn - National.

Hot.

I've seen lists of cuts but they only ever refer to cuts for music. I've never seen a list of 'PC' cuts even though I'm sure I remember hearing Del refer to a Chinese eating establishment as "the chinkies". Does a list of PC cuts exist as I'm curious as to what's been taken out.

I'm fairly sure I heard Del referring to a 'black man's pinch' at some point too, although I can't remember if this is included in the box set or not. Heat from me anyway, it's still a great deal. I'd buy it only I already own it. Cushty

Pretty sure Albert referred to the "**** shop" at some point too

Thanks for posting. Heat added.

Chip?

Yep, remember him saying black man's pinch too.

awesome, so many laughs for only a few quid!

same price @ amazon , if no stock in your local Tesco and you've got the HUKD 'I must have it' bug

some info from an reviewer on amazon - doesn't look like the cuts are as bad as made out - shame about the Omen music though

"So let's talk about the cuts: As far as I can tell the only episodes that have SERIOUSLY been actually cut are "The Jolly Boys Outing" and "Miami Twice". Other than those two I can't say I really noticed any others. Contrary to what has been written - bad language has NOT been cut and neither has some of the more cruder humour. It seems that a lot of people who've written reviews haven't actually watched the set.

I googled what cuts had been made to the DVD set - and watched a lot of the episodes expecting a cut to come up... and it didn't! I really wonder where a lot of this information has come from.

In most cases when the rights haven't been available for music - it has been replaced with a similar sounding bit of music (Jaws and The Omen are replaced with sinister cues that get the same point across) and original songs have been replaced with cover versions (for example the version of "Our House" at the end of "Time On Our Hands"). Yeah OK - it's not the ideal situation but it could have been a lot worse! The comedy is not lost.

Generally speaking from what I can tell a majority of the episodes are uncut and I can tell you categorically that the second series has absolutely no cuts whatsoever."

Waiting for the politically incorrect, original soundtrack versions

Thanks op

'wasting money' is subjective surely. £30 to a lover of this program is well spent and having the collection, in boxed format, is more pleasing. Yes, you could go through and tape the program here or there, but the point of the box set is for lovers of the program to have it at arms reach to bring years of enjoyment.

Has anybody contacted the BBC regarding the cuts/ possibly of an uncut set?
