Just a warning, this is the more heavily edited PG version, you should look to get the 15 version. Easy to tell, the certification logo is right there on the front along with other differences.

I know that they had to cut quite a lot of scenes with background music out b/c of royalties and stuff on some releases so I think quite a few scenes in the pub would be cut. Don't know if that is what has made the certificate drop from 15 to PG, unless they get up to particularly naughty stuff in the pub? Surely Delboy falling through the bar isn't THAT scary for young children???

They even cut this on gold when it's on, I did have th boxset but gave it away as the cuts spoil it for me, but I have them from vhs tapes.

That would be scandalous!! It's one of the best comedy scenes of all time

It's on the telly all the time. Why would you bother?

They cut some of the language from the earlier ones including the word 'P**i'. PC fascists 'airbrushing' out the past because it's a little delicate for their sensibilities today. The earlier 80's ones were by far the best as it had a real working class edge to it. It became a bit more tame and family orienated by the late 80's.

As for the music, it wasn't from pub scenes with a jukebox playing in the background, it was from normal scenes with music over the top. Scenes don't feel the same with it taken away. I have the video boxsets from the 90's that still retain them unlike a mate who has the DVDs.
