what's Gandhi ever done since that film.....

Funniest show ever.

Hot.

I still can't make my mind up whether I liked Grandad or Uncle Albert the most. One thing I do know is that this series only got better and better, tough they perhaps over-cooked it a little bit at the end. The last episode should have been the one where Del, Rodney and Albert walk into the sunset together as millionaires.

Don`t be a 42 carat plonker and order this box set. You know it makes sense! X)

ELVIS_THE_PELVIS

simmer love. im having some jimmy banter!!! xx

Ordered thanks

I only need a few of the specials as i have series 1-7 and most of the christmas specials, no idea whether to take a punt on this or not.

Great spot..thanks o.p.

Classic! heat added:D

I take it these are heavily edited from the originals?

Excellent series... does anyone know of any codes with Amazon that might work?

is this the spoiled version?

It was supposed to be but the BBC and fans pressured John Sullivan to continue. In his interviews, he always regretted
to continue the show. The last few episodes were good but not great as the earlier ones. What a great show. so funny..
Trigger, Denzel etc..

Maybe he would have been better doing a spin off or something. It was just the perfect ending for me. The Royle Family was absolutely brilliant but that also kept going when it should have finished on a high.

The box looks like a Lidl version of Yorkshire tea

I agree,, it was perfect ending.. the boys had done good and off to start their new lives.

Only one I can recall was Fawlty towers.. as John Cleese was under pressure to write more
but he always refused and each episode is a classic.

Uncle Albert all day.

Agree on your last point, went downhill after that.

I used to have the dvds when they first come out I remember being a kid waiting for the 22nd of September for them to released series 6 me nan bought it for me :)I download erm now as if ya download on line there the first lot of dvds that were released so they haven't been edited as much. Lost all me dvds in moving a lot over the years .I don't no why the edit them so much I mean on the back its says not for public viewing so if you don't want to watch it because your offended don't watch why edit for the dogooders .He who dares wins .:)

Fair enough dude.

Fair enough dude.

They will definitely be watered down without all the racial connotations, mainly about the people who own the local corner shop.

Definitely uncle Albert.

I have always thought that the perfect ending would have been the brothers becoming millionaires and them sorting out all their mates and rubbing boyce's nose in it....

If you mean are these the ones that have been re-edited and scenes taken out compared to the version originally shown on TV then yes.

These are still ones without music in some scenes and some scenes deleted due to copyright with the music company etc.

Countless episodes are edited to such an extent that dialogue has been … Countless episodes are edited to such an extent that dialogue has been cut, scenes have been deleted and musical scores altered

Terribly disappointing. If something is advertised as "complete", it … Terribly disappointing. If something is advertised as "complete", it should be complete. But this is not. The heavy edits remain, even though the BBC could quite easily arrange for the original episodes to be released as they were originally screened on TV. My message to BBC: release the original episodes, uncut; or stop putting out heavily edited DVDs and then calling them "complete".
