This could be helpful if someone has lots of junk in the garage, or attic and want to generate some cash to buy another junk...
I just get this email from eBay:
Only Pay When You Sell
With free listings you can now list all the items you’ve been meaning to sell. Best thing is, you only pay if they do.

Offer valid from
01 October 2017 – 31 October 2017.
Offer automatically applied.
eBay‌.‌c‌o‌.‌u‌k registered private sellers only.

Shpock- list for free. Ask say £50 but get offered £10 or they never turn up then you get banned for blocking them
Facebook Market Place-list for free. Get asked if still for sale, when reply yes never hear from again or see above re price asked
Gumtree-list for free get asked if still for sale then never hear from again or get near what you are asking or get buyers trying to rip you off offering paypal when they are picking up or have a friend in the area who will pick it up but still wants to use paypal, yeah right.
Carboot- ok its cost about £10 but sell almost eveything for buttons and get mithered for records, gold and phones and now perfumes
Failing that give to a charity shop, costs nothing (petrol) you get nothing but they then sell for loads of money as they check ebay prices so ebay resellers are forced away but you get that warm feeling you have helped someone

I get this every months as standard on my account. They just start sending messages to make it look like they are giving you a deal

Private sellers have been able to list 20 items a month free for years ???

Ebay is history...Expensive and loads of other ways to sell free now...Ironic they set up Paypal to make even more money!

I have eBay account since 2004 and I’m not experienced seller there. I didn’t know eBay can giving 20 items or listening free for everyone. Just sharing info with anyone who don’t read spam.

crap deal...listing has been always free. It is the FVF which they hammer you with. I always wait for £1 deal on FVF before I list.

there is a reason it is spam!

I would try local FB sites. I live in Worthing so I sell on sell anything in Worthing and it also give the options of all the local areas as well as market place. Not great but there is gumtree and shpock; No postage, no charges and local people to do good honest selling to.

Others may have issues with these ways but you have to be realistic in price, honest and reliable. Never had a no show, never had a problem and alway sold within a day or 2. If I don't i reduce it and sell it.

eBay is a rip off. Cost me a total of 14.1% in combined eBay/PayPal fees for one rect sale

I get the same, 100 listings a day, but I do tend to list more expensive items when they offer me a final valuation fee of £1 max.
