I don't have a stock, and I've had a good time playing. It depends if you think you need it. Steam has a refund policy that lets you play for less than 2 hours and own it for less than 2 weeks, so, you could just refund it if you don't get on with it.
I've got a 3d printer so might knock one up myself. Haven't tried the game yet, need to wait for the children to go to bed!
Well, we spent most of this afternoon trying to get this to load but it kept crashing. Tried various ways of launching it with no luck.

Looking at the steam page it seems Rift-S isn't supported.

Edit:
Update in Feb mentions Rift-S and quest. Seems they don't know what they support!

I'd say in future try checking oculus store out as I got it there and it works fine, but for you you maybe able to go to properties and try use the oculus sdk?
Still struggling Even after messing with page file sizes.betas sometimes good but this one doesn't work for me.

Definitely worth asking the devs to release the oculus sdk for steamvr

And in Queens English that means what?

I don't have it on SteamVR but if you've tried (properties > betas > oculus sdk) and it's not an option for oculus-sdk, it's worth starting a steam thread asking the devs to release it.
