Started off with analogue cameras for home CCTV (ip now) nowt to be sniffed at as you don't need a DVR if you're not recording, go straight into the av in just to get a picture (with a cheap 12v psu)...
Want similar but wireless. Any recommendations?

I think you need to literally plug these into a dvd like box in your house, where footage can be stored or viewed on monitors. So unless you've got a personal security team, you'd probably be better off opting for an IP camera which stores stuff directly on cloud.

I may however be wrong.

What you can do is get a cctv camera thats analogue or cvbs and plug it straight to your TV yellow rca input or Scart via converter. This doesn't record as there's nothing for it to record on to.

Wireless still uses a 12v power supply to power the camera but have a look on ebay or amazon for wireless analogue cameras.

Pretty much yes.

However vastly more secure than IP cams.

Well only if you have the dvr somewhere obvious. If you store the dvr in the loft like i do they ain't going to get to it.
I’m looking for good quality outdoor Cctv system with decent price. Any suggestions guys?
I’m an expert on these i ideal with them day in day out, typical kit contains One monitor, one camera, one HDR recording unit, one HDMI cable, one 4 way splitter cable if you’re using multiple cameras and a BNC Cable for the camera

Will these fit into an exsisting dvr, i have 8ch with only 4 in use.
The evidential value of cctv is poor . . . . But the deterent value is high

If I were to use these externally, mounted on a [house] wall, what's the best method to power them? Would you suggest the plug into a power socket or some other method?

But then you have to wire all the way to the loft...Isn’t a cloud based recorder easier, safer and less hassle?
Plug the power supply unit into a wall socket and the other end of the power supply unit goes to the splitter cable Then use the splitter cable to plug into the cameras

Hi can anyone recommend a indoor camera that I can see what happens in the dark out of my window. I currently have a Dlink that I have by the window but when I put it on night mode the light reflects off the window so can’t see anything. Iv tried putting it nearer the window but doesn’t work. I can’t turn the IR off either. Any recommendations would greatly be appreciated
