Info added by

The Ooni Karu 12 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven can be fuelled either with real wood or charcoal to give multiple fuel options for maximum cooking flexibility to cook authentic stone-baked wood-fired pizza in any outdoor space in as little as 60 seconds. It offers all the heat and power of a larger wood-fired oven but weighing in at just 12kgs to give supreme portability it really does provide the option of great pizza wherever the adventure leads.

The Ooni Karu 12 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven is constructed with a 430 grade stainless steel body which is then filled with a 20mm ceramic fibre-insulated for heat retention keeping the internal temperature consistently high. That is teamed up with an extra-thick Ooni Baking Stone plus patented flame keeper for maximum heat retention while a custom-designed fuel tray maximizes airflow and delivers a powerful blast of searing flame - load it up with real wood or charcoal - with no excess ash to clean.

An Ooni Karu 12 Multi-Fuel Pizza Oven can be fired up with wood or charcoal right out of the box or alternately can be powered from a refillable propane gas tank with the separate purchase of an Ooni Karu 12 Gas Burner - 37mbar. Cooking with the Ooni Karu 12 Gas Burner - 37mbar in place will give additional temperature control and the versatility to choose and change the fuel source - gas for low-maintenance cooking or wood or charcoal for that distinctive smoky, aromatic flavour.

Has anyone who ordered on back order had confirmation of their order yet? Paid via PayPal and got an order number at checkout but not had any kind of email contact from them… bit concerned I might have missed out on this 😬

Just called Dawsons to check pre order status. They are expecting an Ooni delivery tomorrow and Friday and hope to send out next working day.

Excellent deal. I started pizza life with one of these and upgraded to a much larger clay/brick oven.
This gets hot quickly, makes excellent pizza, and my personal recommendation is a combination of charcoal and kiln dried hardwood for excellent heat and flavour.
If you did ever upgrade to something bigger, this ooni retains value if you keep it clean and neat.

Same as above, got this and love it - wanted the option of gas if needed but never bothered with the gas - great pizza oven

I got this on the Lakeland deal and love it! Will probably get the gas adapter for when we have lots of people round but works well with a combination of wood and charcoal.

Are you implying you can use wood and gas at the same time, or just wood and charcoal? - I’ll be honest been undecided between this and the Fyra.
how much wood does it get through if you needed say 4pizzas?
similar is it special small charcoal..?

Thanks, have been waiting for this at a good price. Was gonna go for the fyre but the pellets look like effort. Seems like it's on back order and will take 7-10 days for delivery. (edited)

This is a great pizza oven! I used wood for ages but then got a great deal on the gas attachment and it is SO much easier! Turn it on, leave it and then consistent heat for all the pizzas. I treated myself to the grizzler pan as well and now use the oven for so much more than pizzas. My favourite garden toy!

Thanks for the great replying info, how easy is it to clean after wood and bricks.
    AndyY's avatar
You don’t really clean it. You just burn off the residue before your next cook, whilst it’s heating back up.

If you use cheaper woods you might get a higher build up of soot quicker, but It’s very low maintenance.

Not yet and I am getting desperate as I bought the fuel, peel and pizza boards, but still no oven 😞
