Good point

What are good options around this price?
Or you can buy the same laptop on Amazon renewed with 1 year warranty for £229

Does this come with Microsoft Office?

Pretty much no laptop does as it is about £100 to buy it legally, or you can get subscriptions.

I would recommend using Libreoffice (libreoffice.org/) as it is completely free and opens and saves in the same file formats as Microsoft Office.
Bought the aspire 14 inch 4gb ram and 32gb memory there's one as a HDD for like 100 but I paid 5 more for the SSD or whatever they're called. Anyway condition was as good as brand new.

Its very basic in every way. The good thing is it has a full HD screen. so if you have very basic needs - ie web browsing, email and word processing it will do the job ok.

The 4gb ram limits the number of tabs you can have open at any one time. You will have to pay £350 to £400 for something better. You will need to spend that amount of money to increase the spec - ie additional ram to 8gb and SSD drive to improve speed.

It does not have a full HD screen. It is literally this:

amazon.co.uk/dp/…PYN

But with only 3 months warranty instead of 1 year.

And no prime delivery.

And costs a lot more

Yet its still being voted hot since I posted the comment with the link

You are right: Screen Resolution 1366 x 768.

Save your money and and get something that has at least a decent screen - you are looking to pay £350 to 400.
Have to ask why are laptops significantly slower than phones and tablets?

They aren't really if you get a modern laptop with an SSD. All phones/tablets have a type of solid state storage.
