Personally wouldn't consider buying a gfx card for the same price as a decent 1080p gaming pc could be bought for.

However this might help someone. Current cheapest i could find is £950 from ccl.

You're looking at almost a £150 saving just for an open box product which to me represents a cracking saving. Comes with a 1 year warranty

Great price. HOT!
Good deal, but still £300 more than I paid for my 2080, not sure it's worth it at that premium
Certainly wouldn't be dropping this money on a poor make with a short warranty.

I once bought an open box palet card from CCL that would artifact and crash running heaven benchmark (still a great benchmark to test if your card is a dud, run it a number of times).

Got my money back eventually but they claimed it was fine.

How is this a great price?! £800 on graphics card, wow. Could get a good graphics card and a nice monitor for this price, or build decent pc even
The 2080ti is certainly not for most gamers, there's simply no need. If you're wanting to run a Pimax in VR for things like DCS however then this is what you're going to want

Palit cards are excellent. I've owned several of their Jetstream models (a 980, a 980 Ti and a 1080) and they're the three quietest cards I've ever had. The fans barely even spin on them under extended full load. I've no doubt that their budget models have drawbacks, but so do the ones from "major" manufacturers (at least "major" in the UK - Palit are actually the biggest graphics card manufacturer on the planet by worldwide sales). I don't think one faulty card that had already been returned once is a fair way to judge a company, other than perhaps CCL and their quality control process.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not saying palit are crap. These 2080 cards have had problems with memory, so I wouldn't be buying because of the short warranty. Also if you managed to rma after the 1 year direct with palit, you would need to send to China (hopefully not on a slow boat).

My issue is more with the open box nature, someone returned it and I wouldn't trust CCL to thoroughly test it

To drop £800 seems extravagant to say the least.

Short warranty? I thought 1 year was the normal length for warranties.

Because anyone that wants one would pay £950 and here they would pay just over £800.

I wouldn't pay this type of money for a gfx card but for anyone that would they are saving £150 so therefore a great price.

Can you show me the equivalent model with a 5 year warranty listed as standard?

Because if you're right then i think it's probably worth paying an extra £150.

It only states 2 years, and nothing about the 28 days for 5 years. You'd think it would be listed as surely it's a good selling point for something that costs almost a grand.

Wow, are people still going on about the price of these things? I've had nearly 6 months fun from mine already, worth every penny.
Not a bad price if you're going to water cool it. The dual cooler is a bit too cheap and cheerful for cooling a ti card if overclocking.

You'll likely hit the power limit before you need to worry about heat.
Good deal but why did they make it look like an owl?

Why do owls never go courting in the rain???
Because it’s too wet to woo!
Nvidia are reported to be refreshing this range with much faster GDDR 6 memory than is currently used, and also they have been producing two different grades of GPU chips which will now be rationalised only to the 'a' grade better one.

If you're going to spend this kind of money then better to either hang on or wait for the old stock to be reduced as it's effectively inferior.
Yeah, I'm gonna stick to console 'till I win the lottery

Just a massive weight difference between a Super JetStream and a Dual cooling solution is kind of scary. The Jetstream cooler is huge.

Sure, but heat isn't the major issue - you can't draw enough power.
