These guys aren't a budget brand. Just one we haven't heard of. Massive in Asia & Oceania.

High five fellow S7 user.

Mine's about dead, spends more time plugged in now. Basically gone back to a landline
How does this shape up vs the One Plus 8 Pro?

Youre right.

But i certainly wouldnt put it in the apple and Samsung league yet they charge their prices.
Shame it's not a Pro version
Just a oneplus 8 pro with a different name.

Pretty much identical.

The OnePlus Pro has IP68 Water and Dust resistance, while the X2 doesn't.

They are owned by BBK Electronics, who are now the 2nd largest phone manufacturer in the world lol. They also own Realme, OnePlus and a couple of others

My OH has just gone from an ageing S7 to an Oppo Reno and is impressed with it so far, so this should be even better
So about £600 once you sell the headphones? A lot of money, for sure, but nowhere near as expensive as Apple or Samsung for an equivalent spec phone.

IP54 as per GSMAren. The Find X2 also has a different camera setup, more like the OnePlus 8 rather than the 8 Pro, and it's battery tech is also different.

They aren't in the league's of Apple or Samsung flagships. Those two have carved a path into the £1.2k+ bracket

OnePlus's sister company. Huge brand...
I am assuming they're the ones that do the audiophile blu-rays and headphones
How's with the warranty? I Was thinking about P30 Pro or some One Plus, but this offer is good...

In five years time, people will be wondering how we managed with tiny 6.7" screens as they chat away on their 10" phone. (Wasn't joking, I'm assuming folding tech takes off by then, someone will come up with a triple fold device, just because they can)

I like a phone I can use with one hand comfortably.

Where's my n95?

Warranty should be with Amazon Spain, so should be OK, I think.

100% agree I wouldn't put them in the Samsung and Apple league, Oppo is leagues AHEAD of them, because all of these brands including Oppo, Xiaomi, Honor etc are offering far more in terms of specification and usability for what you pay than Samsung and Apple. Pure bang for buck.

Not really, its delusional. They make cut backs. Most of their phones have lower resolutions than a even a galaxy s7 and lack waterproofing.

I'm sorry but if you're going to make a statement about Oppo's lower end offerings, then you need to compare them against the Samsung J series or whatever.

Pound for pound I don't think it would be easy to argue Samsung is better than Oppo. Another way to put it is where £780 gets you this model from Oppo, you won't get equivalent specs from Samsung at that price.

They don't lack waterproofing, what they lack is the "offical" IP certificate. They load it with all the seals, just pass on savings of certification to the end buyer, been a strategy by the BBK family of phone manufacturers for a few years now. This thing is miles better than the Samsung s7

Youre right about the mid range. But this competes with the top end Samsung in pricing.
I say check out the realme x2 Pro from the same family, seriously good value at amazon Spain

If you see any deals on the pro be sure to post it. Am looking myself.
How are you getting £803, $949 is ~£850, or has it gone up since posting?
Re the validity of whether the likes of Oppo/One Plus, do actually produce phones with seals/rubbers to pass IP68 but often don't as it adds to the overall cost of the device (it's been questioned on here and now deleted)

Go and check out a few jerryrig tear down videos and you'll see it's a common thing for midrange priced phones to do. That is where they are able to cut costs. You'll see many videos and reviews by reputable reviewers who will educate you on phone companies that DO pass ip68 standards (as shown on many videos) as they have the appropriate seals fitted. Super cheap and easy to fit, far more expensive to get the certification for. A bit like BSI Kitemark products. It's an expensive thing to do, so some don't bother.
