Heat for Snapdragon
Very similar to upcoming oneplus Z
and in China this is called Oppo find x2 Neo.
Switchy I can see the midrange 5g range getting very crowded for the mainstream

Snapdragon 765G

Dimensity 800 (MTK)

Whatever steaming pile of overheating/thermal throttling/battery sapping donkey doo doo Samsung brings out

Whatever Huawei brings out (no longer relevant sadly in the West due to lack of Google services)

China pushing out 5G very heavily so I expect to see a lot more of these deals very soon hitting 300 quid very quickly from you

Around the same price as the similar spec moto edge from amazon Italy.

What would you recommend in the 4.5-5.5" range? Must be OLED, 6gb+, snapdragon, 64gb+ storage, really good cameras, at least a year of updates, ideally wireless charging, must not be a curved screen like my crappy s8, and must have a finger print scanner that actually works, under £500, and from a UK or amazon europe retailer? Don't care about 5g or nfc. Or do I just get the iphone SE... Most phones seem to be 6"+ monstrositys.

I'm waiting for the poco f2 Pro to be released on amazon. I think that ticks all the requirements.

Google pixel 4a might be a good shout too?

True that my friend
You begin to wonder, the average user doesn't need some fancy processor, and in real world terms, we don't really notice much difference in Snapdragon 845 and 865 etc. This brings the question £1000 for a mobile 📱 wooo.....and to get 2 major updates only. I am thinking these cheaper alternatives are the way to go. Heat, and sorry for the rant haha.

The 4a is supposed to have a 5.8'' screen according to the leaks

Don't confuse the mi note 10 and the mi 10
Thought was wrong one, good to see it's simple naming convention :/

mid range all the way!
If the Pixel 5 carries this processor as has been suggested, I would wait for that.
Very similar looking to the OPZ renders, what a surprise.
I wouldn't buy anything from Amazon spain a lot of thefts of phones ..you either get an empty phone box or something totally different ..and they will refuse to refund money back to you ..my experience thank god for credit cards
I wouldn't touch Amazon spain with a barge pole stick to Amazon UK so much better..
Anyone know when the pro X2 find will be released in the UK?

This month apparently but why not just go for OnePlus 8 Pro at £799? Save yourself £400 as X2 Find will be £1099 for an Oppo!?

Both are so similar as they are from related companies, only minor camera differences and not worth £400

Better camera fast charging. More space. But yes I might get the OnePlus 8 pro yet. But I wanted to be sure on the oppo price. Thank you for your info.
Hi Mr Switch, you've helped me get my last 2 devices, I need one for a family member. Upto £400 is budget (£300 ideal), she wants it to last for at least 3 years. My Motos are on the Android one so I got updates for a few years, would this be secure for a few years too? Thank for your help.

Yeah, course, just all on budget devices atm.

If you want to spend a bit more on a phone that will get updates for a while, it'll have to be the likes of the pixel line?

The best device in that range new atm is the honor 20 pro from the uk. That would be the phone I'd recommend, it'll still get updates for a couple years to come.

Ok, I'll see if they can wait. The Moto ones you posted a year or so ago have been great, run so smooth and fast. Keep us going for another 2 years at least. Thanks for all the help.
