    Is it silly of me to be concerned about privacy data with Oppo? Bit worried that starting my daughter out on one of these could be a bit dodgy. (edited)

    Don't worry about it, lots of fear mongering from the good old telly. After Apple and Samsung, Oppo is best quality for the money. It used to be Huawei but they got the Google ban so I assume that's a no for you.

    Bought this phone 6 months ago following a similar post by MrS. Unused condition but no box. Great phone and no issues and does have the superfast charging ability too.

    Anyone bought refurbished from Giffgaff before? What's was the condition like?

    We bought this exact phone around 6 months ago when Mr S posted a similar deal. It came in mint condition with the screen protector still intact. It hadn't had any software updates. I think MOST received a phone in similar condition.

    My wife has been very happy with it. Recently updated to Android 13 as well.

    Happy with oppo, have been using one for more than three years now, speed is still good. Unlike my Huawei before 2 years in the camera and speed all dropped significantly .

    As per Mr S's comments in the OP, you can be fairly certain that you'll get the 256gb variant. When GiffGaff sold them at a couple of points last year that's what was received.

    I don't think they've sold the 128gb variant in the UK.

    It's due to get ColorOS 13 / Android 13 in near future but I think that is where it will end, at least in terms of Android version updates.
