3GB is fine in an£120 handset imo
I would have to respectfully disagree. 4GB should be the minimum in my opinion at this price point.

Fair enough, I'll not argue with your opinion.
The note 8t 32gb has 3gb of ram... And doesn't have this phones level of graphics power.
Really good specs otherwise.
I'm sure the battery saving makes sense to them but a 720p screen puts me right off.

Even my old Xiaomi Note 5 was 1080p and that was a couple of years ago.

Don't believe it makes any discernable difference. Would takes 720p over 4k for the battery gains. Set my p30 on 720p and can't see any difference
how does something like this compare to the samsung S10?

A 'minimum' of 4gb ram in a phone that costs £120??? How is that comparable to ANY phone in this price range?

Perhaps sir would also care for the moon on a stick!

No. I think my statement is perfectly reasonable. Maybe I have spoilt thanks to all the fantastic deals MrSwitch is always posting. After all, I am so grateful to him for my 4GB phone purchased from Amazon UK too, all for a mighty £70.
I recommend MrSwitch for knighthood for all his efforts.

The P30 has nearly 3 times the amount of physical pixels and a completely different aspect ratio 19.5:9 vs 16:9 of 720p - so if you were able to set the phone to 720p (I wouldn't know) then it must be doing it's own internal processing to fit it onto the screen and still has the extra 1.5 million pixels odd to create a sharper image.

In using that as an example but have owned many many phones and can hand in heart say other than battery life and negative performance impacts there is more to dislike about increased resolution than there is to like

I would be taking the 4K all day long and manage it. You can knock down on most top devices, but you can't increase to what you don't have. I can't imagine what 270 ppi is going to look like on a 6.5" screen. 😳

A 15 min spurt on most top end phone will make up for any shortfall in battery life nowadays, so it really isn't an issue anymore in my eyes. There is a 5000 mah battery on this device so the 720p screen is for cost cutting purposes only and that is as a pity.

It's raining OPPO's at the moment ☔
Well, I have never eaten a moon on a stick before, but I have eaten snake, octopus and fish balls but you can get a Redmi Note 8T *4GB* for the measly sum of £130 and it's notably better in almost every department than this 720p eye sore
I dont know about anyone else , all i know is the last time i purchased a phone with a 720p screen was way back in 2012.

The cameras alone are heavly outclassed by the NOTE 8T and plenty more.

you're entitled to your opinion - if you care about cameras + screen resolution sure more than gaming performance or battery life, buy a note 8t
