Seems like the oppo range is getting a reduction at the moment, this was £449 up until this morning, so represents a good reduction.

3256694-X6U4S.jpgYou’ll notice that the OPPO RX17 Pro sports three rear cameras. Its main camera has a 12-megapixel sensor and a lens that switches between f/2.4 and f/1.5 apertures, meaning it can adjust the lens according to the light. The second camera supports this with a 20-megapixel sensor and a f/2.6 lens.

The third camera is a Time of Flight (ToF) lens that uses a laser array to help judge the distance of objects in a scene – making it an excellent AR tool.

Really good price for this phone. Almost the same with Huawei p30 pro but big difference on prices.
This is the price the phone should have cost in the first place if Oppo weren't pricing ridiculously high in the UK. Hopefully they keep the prices down.
What CPU is inside? Thanks.

Hopefully reduce them even more.

Exactly. This just feels like what the RRP should have been. Instead of sponsoring World Cup and Wimbledon they should just give lower prices to people. I would love to buy an Oppo or Vivo device but the high price and no custom launcher really puts me off. It's a shame as they are the most innovative brands out there
MrSwitch03/07/2019 12:55

Snapdragon 710.

I saw that in the OP, just don't see why anyone would pay £449 for that processor. £399 is more reasonable.
Seems good ...any contract deals on it? Thanks

Its just nice to see we were one of the first to get the likes of the oppo reno and 10x Zoom. I'm tempted by the 10x Zoom, but still a bit much!

Doesn't look that way

Or £279 for the mi 9t with that processor though having said that, UK pricing we have yet to see

That's the phone I was after too (was actually looking into buying it a month back), if it was cheaper I'd probably get it. It's good Oppo are treating the UK market well in terms of release timing, unlike Xiaomi who seem to release products here months afterwards.

Couldn't agree more, respect to oppo for that most definitely.

A nice reduction will make me buy it, they have some good contract deals on it mind!
Carphone Warehouse and Currys PC World both reduced to this price... TopCashback is offering £10 off sim free from CPW making this £389...hot deal to me

Well people are paying £399 for a poorly-built, plastic-bodied Pixel 3A with an already outdated SD670 whose only saving grace is a decent camera and stock Android...

Or £469, for the 3a xl

Either way, this Oppo looks like a great buy from a UK retailer and with those specs and storage.

The 3A is better than this though. Stock Android means it will run just as smooth as Color OS, and you can use custom launcher. The camera is so good that it compensates for the plastic build given the cost.

It’s just not though is it? It looks like it came out in 2016, there are tons of QC issues, the camera (while good) is mostly backed by decent software rather than unique hardware - and I’ve seen the pictures it takes, they’re good but people claiming it ‘blows away’ things like an S10 or P30 are lying. I don’t know anyone who buys a phone just because it’s a good point-and-shoot camera, it’s the sum of its parts and whole experience. I’d prefer stock Android too but manufacturers seem to have learned we don’t want tons of bloatware finally.
Now reduce Oppo Reno 10x Zoom please.
£400 for a snapdragon 710? No thanks. Reduced price but still cold.

Buy a MI 9T from Spain from Amazon for 329 or 379 euro and enjoy a Snapdragon 730, better cameras and no notch design. Only thing this phone does better is super VOOC which is insane charging tech. And OPPO has a horrible update policy on its phones with most phones getting 0 android updates but recent models have gotten a whopping 1 Android update
