The signal worsens during winter because of protons getting chilly. They develop what scientists call an 'atomic cardigan' of dark matter to keep warm, thus reducing the strength of the signal.

It would be a aerial for freeview. No need for a dish

I've been through quite a few indoor aerials for an upstairs TV, I've found most of the cheap ones to be similarly rubbish so decided to spend a little bit more on one.
I bought this one for £25 and I have been mightily impressed thus far.

These are not too bad. I bought one a while ago. In stormy weather it struggles wih hd channels but my house is surrounded by large trees.

If you were using a dish you were either using sky or Freesat. This won't be compatible with either. You either need freeview built into your tv or a freeview box

A good thing?

Spend a bit more for a decent high gain antenna imo, had plenty of these cheapo jobs before, they're not great really.

Although I guess it does depend where you live.

Indoor aerials very rarely work, unless you live next to a transmitter. If indoor aerials worked no one would have a aerial installed on the chimney!!

That's what I thought until I bought the Monarch 50, I'm 20 miles from the Blackhill transmitter, it has worked flawlessly for a month now and I just plonked it down anywhere!
Designed by a NASA scientist - so it says on the box.

I'm rather partial to a spot of 'Antiques Road Hunt' or what ever the f**k it's called. Catherine Southon? Christina Trevanion?
