I use 3d the odd times on my projector, experience is the best I've had. Much better than a 3d TV or the 3d in the cinema unless it's IMAX
Can 100% recomend Optoma, best brand we have had and tried Benq, Acer, epson, Sony, jvc and view sonic. OPTOMA RULES.
What are likes like in a bright room with sun shining through the window? Not that we're getting much of that at the moment.

Damnit. This is the excuse the wife makes about not getting one. Oh well, I'll wait until I build a shed...sometime.

But once it gets to late afternoon/early evening it looks gorgeous on any flat white-ish surface.
You could have a TV for daytime and then a pull out screen for when you switch to the projector.......

Yeah my sales pitch included the sale of the TV to fund the projector.

Oooooooo you're taking a chance there. On your own head be it! Hahah nah I don't know, I guess it'll be fine. I have a HD143X and it's great - bought it 2nd hand from Cex, used it for ages, had to replace the bulb once. It only has 2 HDMI inputs, could be an issue for some, that's the only thing I think is relevant. Great projector.
Heat added, but will probably spend the extra £30 and get the extra 5 year warranty from Richer sounds.
Guys what is a good projector for £500. Short/long throw, either or. I need surround sound, play fire stick and connect sky. Any recommendations.

I own this one, so I can recommend this one. The sound you'll have to sort out with surround sound system purchased separately. I've not been disappointed with this projector and I use it a lot. Any questions feel free to ask me.
