Looks decent. I've gone for the ultra short throw LG pf1000u today for £490ish warehouse deal so I need to stop looking now.

It’s been £615 before but never this price. Hence me jumping.

Good luck with the ultra short throw.

No it's a good price imo. You'll get cold votes because people will say you can get a 4k projector for a couple of hundred more, but I'd rather have a decent 1080 one than a budget 4k (which are mostly pixel shifting anyway).

I take it you've worked out throw etc? That's why I went UST, wouldn't work for me otherwise.
I’ve got the Optoma GT1080e ultra short throw. I have no idea what the difference is between this and that.
But must say. For the last 8-9 months it’s been my favourite toy.
Missed the 4k one earlier(UHD300X), was almost same price however warehouse deal for damaged packaging.

I've got the HD141x, still going strong, 3 years old. Only really used for games and films and is top notch. Make sure to use your own sound system

I have a older 720p Epson which was a freebie and it’s been giving me great results, so this is a upgrade from that. My only concern is switching from 3LCD to DPL. But I’m sure it’ll be ok.

The 152 has a decent lens shift and zoom, which is what attracted me to it as I can get the screen exactly how I want it. My g/f is happy I’m not spending crazy money on a 4K tv.......I’ll wait and tell her about the new AV Amp in a few weeks

Ha, yes those darling little speakers inside will never get used.

I have had a BenQ 720p projector for 3 years now

Don't use it that much but it is Ace when I can be bothered (linking it up to my 32 year old Amp) (and projecting straight onto the wall 110 inches wide by about 60 inches high)
Only cost me £260
Owned an Optoma pj for a few years and it was good but when it came to upgrading i bought a Viewsonic px706 short throw after doing a shed load of research and its absolutely superb for my big screen gaming habits
I dont think i could ever go back to a using my old telly now .... it seems so tiny
I bagged an optoma GT1080e shorthrow for £300 in warehouse! Stonking deal.. can't wait to get the cinema room set up.

How do you find this.. I have just purchased it, looking to throw a firestick in hdmi slot.
Got the Optoma HD141x too. Changed the colour wheel then found out was still under Richer Sounds warranty! Cost me about £20.

Awesome. Also using it with a fire stick and will get it out once a week or so.
I don’t have an external sound system. I find the built in speakers good enough. And not worth the hassle considering I only get it out once a week.

I set my old one up with a very long hdmi cable and splitter box. It was worth the effort in the end!
I’ve gone for the Optoma HD31UST, down to £860
