Very nice price - if I'd had more in playfunds and hadn't just transfered it to my bank this would be very tempting.

Congratulations on not reading the deal properly, and on not actually finding a reputable company selling it cheaper.
I only managed to find one of the companies in your link selling the projector + 84" screen for cheaper than play (and only around £5 cheaper). However it's a company I've never heard of, and they don't even provide a support phone number (their excuse is 'to keep costs down).

Please, put a little thought into your posts before trying to prove what a great deal finder you are...

A good deal for a top notch Projector

Quidco is only 0.5% so you only get £3.85, but every penny counts I guess, lol.

Actually it's you who should take your own advice.

1. Support number is meaningless - Optoma deal with all repairs\service and there is a direct phone number for them. Any company will simply deal through proxy, I own an Optoma HD20 and have first hand experience with how Optoma enforces RMAs to be done through them.

2. It's not even that much of a deal. This projector can easily be had for £685 with some looking. The screen can be had for around £80 seperately, delivered.

3. This is just a "noramal" price.

COLD deal.

Further to my post, Play.com aren't even based in the UK so you have no rights with them at all.

it's a really good projector, but make sure you have nice switchers if you plan on switching between tv and projector a lot, the hdmi signal "threshold" is a bit weak

I wonder how much replacement bulbs on this model will be?

Depending how much you use the projector you should be ok for about 4 years before you need to replace the lamp, but if you do need to then you can get them for about £152.75 HERE.

Ive had the projector about a year now, bought it just after it came out for my room at uni, it works awesome with my laptop and xbox, get a nice 12ft picture on one of the wall i painted. Never had a problem with it and its pretty rugged, i take it to a mates house near enough once a week and still works a treat. Good price with a screen too. Only thing i will say is that the lense cover gets loose pretty quick.

I was just about to sell my one of these to be honest!

May get a projector when my Panasonic G20 finished doing it's great job.

Bloody students. Oh i can't pay my student loan....:p

Might seem a good deal but no ones going to help you if this conks out on you, play will tell you to **** off just hope Optoma will do it for free.

Agreed. Plus the HD20 which you have, arguably better than the HD200X, can be had for under £700 delivered too.

The Hd200x and the Hd20 are exactly the same projectors just the hd20 is white, but most importantly the Hd200x only comes with a Optoma 1 year warranty and the HD20 comes with a 3 year hot swap doorstep warranty.

Well mine arrived yesterday from Play.com, it was very well packaged.
I had a little demo of it last night, I managed to project a 100" picture on the wall and was totally blown away by the quality, it was better than being at my local cinema multiplex.
I have my Sky+HD, PS3 Blu Ray Player and PC all connected to my Yamaha RXV2065 home cinema amp which has 2 HDMI outputs so I have one going to my 40" LCD and the other going to my projector. This saves having to have everything plugged in to the projector.
Just need to stick up my screen and ceiling mount my projector.

Anyone know what size pictures I could get with this? I have 2.5M between where it will be mounted to the projector screen.

Thanks,
Jcb33.
