Get the ultimate home cinema experience with this projector from Optoma. Delivering 4K UHD picture quality, films are incredibly detailed throwing you right into the action. There’s a max screen size of 100 inches for a true cinematic experience, and if your horror films are a little too horrific, the 500000:1 contrast ratio produce bright, colourful pictures, even with the lights on. USB and HDMI ports allow for external devices, and if you go for a games console, Game Mode optimises images for lightning response times.

Perfect for hd pron
Uses jiggery pokery to achieve 4K image from a 2K chip. Wait for CES 2018, true 4K projectors will become more affordable.

@FunkiestMonkey had posted a similar deal from Amazon. If you don't mind double dipping and happy with fake 4K, the projector is slightly cheaper at Scam and you can ask AO to price match.

I doubt you will see many 4k and 3d together in one. They pretty much acknoweldged 3D was a fad and dropped it from all major TV brands in 2016. Of course there will be some niche ones that will cost a fair bob or two. But proper 4K projectors can be had for around £2k today (minus the 3D) so yeah, can only get cheapear right ?

Which models?
you might get a projector that does 4k and 3d at 1080p but you won't get a 4k 3d projector. Whilst these are not true 4k they do produce an excellent 4k image they do shine each pixel individually rather the pixel shifting seen in Epson models.

If anyone says this is not proper 4k, I will get their useless brains in Palm oil.
Oh too late. Happy new year, dumbos.
Smacking protector
Absolutely incredible
As much of an upgrade from 1080p as from tv to projector

I've had it for a few weeks and can't say enough good things about it

Anyone saying it's not true 4K doesn't understand how DLP works. It's not an LCD panel, fools.

I mean it's still pixel shifting, just with a higher base resolution in this model. I would rather have a full 4K DMD though, slightly less to go wrong.

Warranty is an issue with Optoma when crossing continents, also not a full 4K. If I was looking at a shifting TI DLP it would be the UHD65 or a step up to the laser projectors.

I thought a reply was going to come in about a full 4K chip. I'm interested to see the UHD60 with import charges coming in at that price though - link?

Amazon US site mate, no special links needed just type it into the search box. When you go to checkout it shows you the full price including a deposit for the import taxes and the shipping charges to UK. If you get super duper lucky you might even get the deposit back but I wouldn't count on that. Big packages are magnets to customs people.

Regarding warranty, yes that's always an issue when buying abroad. Although IIRC I once sent something back that I got from Amazon US and they paid the postage for me when I claimed it back. For me, not so much of any issue anyway as I have family in the US who can handle returns for me easily, but even if I didn't I'd be willing to post it back on a slow courier ride for a week you can even get a US address from borderlinx.

Cheap for a reason....it’s like buying HD ready over full HD back in those days and we all know how it ended!

Dude, some people interested in 4k here may think you are serious, so if you gonna be a comedy troll, please make it obvious else people may be missing out on a true, full on 4k bargain.
