A good price for this device. It fits in your hand so smaller than the new ultraportable laptops, battery life could be better though.

sizeasy.com/pag…-02 will give you an idea of the size of the device. the OQO 02 is actually a little bigger than the 01+

Not enough ram or big enough processor for me but looks like a good deal, voted hot.

As we are in BST not GMT the offer time might be 12 pm - 4 pm.

could do with more ram and processor but given its size (pda sized) I am not sure except for the new atoms if a more powerful processor would fit (the device is a couple of years old now).

Or you could get a refurb for ]£40 cheaper

Good offer. When these things first came out, everyone was peeing their pants to get one. Decent price for one of these.

bit of a gimmick, what's wrong with a blackberry?

can't play aldo on the blackberry

I got email this morning about this offer. The Asus EEE laptop isn't bad at all for £159.99! Cheapest I've seen it at.

the blackberry is a full PC???

you might as well ask what's wrong with a calculator. all have buttons right.

I installed a Citrix system with 200 of these things running off it.

They cost over £1000 each then.

They are a very high quality build.

the key is this is running a full Microsoft Windows XP Professional not a cut down mobile OS.

It's a cool gadget nonetheless

Does it have a touch screen?

I beleive it does as it come with a screen pen though you would have to check to be certain (a quick search should give you the answer)

the touch screen is quite sophisticated.

You have to use the digitiser / pen that comes with it as it is an electro magnetic system.

You cannot just use a standard stylus (eg like on a PDA or Nintendo DS) or your fingers.

This may sound like a backward step in that you have to use a specific digitiser rather than anything you like, but actually it's not and allows for additional functionality and gestures which a simple pressure (as opposed to electro-magnetic) touchscreen does not.

expired now

did anyone get any?

Just too late for me. Added one to my basket at 3.00 PM but when went to checkout price went up to £399. Really disappointed as was, questionably, a pretty decent price at £299. However, no way at £399. Hopefully it will appear again at £299 and I'll get the order in a bit earlier. Did anyone actually get one at £299?

the gigabyte 528 is coming next month, it has gps and 3g built in and doesnt have a fan. £429 @ expansys.
