Orajel Dental Gel is used to temporarily reduce the toothache pain associated with a broken tooth or in a tooth where you may require a filling.

  • Contains benzocaine at a concentration of 10% w/w
  • It provides relief by numbing the area and therefore reducing the pain
  • Do not use continuously, if toothache persists, consult your dentist
  • Can be applied up to a maximum of 4 times a day
  • Not for use in children below the age of 12 years

    This is just one of many products containing Benzocaine. Its an ester local anesthetic commonly used as a topical pain reliever or in cough drops. It is the active ingredient in many over-the-counter anesthetic ointments such as products for oral ulcers. My personal preference is for dealing with mouth ulcers or tooth ache is Anbesol liquid.     Use Clove oil and smell like Christmas

    Had seething toothache a few months back, OTC cocodamol didn't touch it, this orajel only gave about 15 mins relief, but stinky nasty tasting clove oil rubbed onto the tooth with a cotton wool bud was magic and lasted a couple hours or so. Amazing stuff!
